"Oh my god, he is so hot," Shirley shrieked in our ears for what felt like the millionth time. "His eyes, his body…ugh, that is literally the man of my dreams. Oh my goddess !" She started fanning herself dramatically.
"Quiet, Shirley. You're disturbing us," I said, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"I know, but he's just so hot! Like, how can a man carry that much beauty?" she said dreamily. "When he asked if you guys wanted to leave me behind, you should have! I would've made him mine in no time. Christian Salvatore," she sighed, "what a name!"
Damien rolled his eyes.
The carriage hit a bump, jolting all of us forward.
"Oh, please," she groaned, throwing her head back. "You guys just keep putting me through stress. I should still be at New Orleans, basking in the presence of that masterpiece of a man!"
She started giggling again, and I reached over to tap her forehead. "Quiet. You're ruining our peace."
