Louise stood a few steps away, arms folded, watching him with a mixture of disbelief and affection. The servants stood in polite silence behind him, all wearing the same expression of barely concealed surprise as Orion continued to devour dish after dish....chicken, shrimp, rice, soup...anything within reach.
One maid whispered to another, "He must really be hungry…" but quickly fell silent when Louise glanced in her direction.
Louise sighed deeply, though there was no real frustration in it....only fond exasperation. He's going to get fat at this rate if he doesn't control his diet, he thought, shaking his head slightly. Then his gaze softened as he watched Orion lick sauce off his fingers with childlike satisfaction. But then again... I don't mind.
"Just how could someone eat this much?" one of the servants whispered under her breath, her eyes widening as she stared at the growing pile of empty plates before Orion.
