They stayed quiet, both of them lost in their own worlds, replaying the conversation in their heads for very different reasons.
Olaedo suddenly straightened, as if snapping herself out of the fog she had been drowning in. She inhaled, slow and steady, and the shift in her posture was clear, she wasn't going to let her emotions run her over today.
Turning slightly toward Chibuzor, she broke the long silence.
"Hey… today is Sunday, right?" Her tone was casual, almost too casual, but there was determination hiding underneath. "Since we didn't practice yesterday, shouldn't we make up for it today?"
Chibuzor shot her a quick glance, surprised by the sudden change of topic. For a second, he wondered if she was trying to distract herself, then again, maybe that was the point.
He let out a small laugh, the corners of his mouth lifting.
