Chapter 705 - Chapter 704: An Existence Not to Be Provoked

Watching his body gradually return to normal, Dr. Connors gasped heavily, his heart filled with shock.

Those droplets of radiant light just now—there was no doubt they had been created by that giant.

By all logic, the gene-conversion serum could only be neutralized by a corresponding antidote. And yet, it had been undone by nothing more than light—mysterious, overwhelming light.

Most astonishing of all, the arm he had regrown through the Lizard gene serum was still there.

It had not vanished even after the gene alteration was undone.

"What… exactly is that giant?"

Dr. Connors raised his head toward the sky. The massive figure—interwoven in silver, purple, and red—still hovered silently above.

Having unraveled the secrets of genetic inheritance, Connors found himself once again captivated by a being that seemed nothing short of divine.

"Dr. Connors."

At some point, Peter had come to his side. "That kind of power… it's beyond anything we can measure."

"Indeed," Connors nodded gravely. "His power is godlike."

---

High above the city.

Seeing that humanity had been restored under the purifying light, Yuzhou nodded slightly.

At this point, the story was effectively over.

All that remained was to wait for his return.

"One could say this ended early," he muttered.

Had he not intervened and caused a butterfly effect, this world might not have concluded so quickly. But by narrative standards, the main storyline was already resolved. Whatever followed no longer mattered.

As for the second installment of this world's story, Yuzhou was in no hurry. There would be another opportunity.

Just as he was about to deactivate his transformation, the roar of helicopter blades echoed nearby.

Turning his head, Yuzhou saw several military helicopters closing in on him, forming an encirclement—clearly hostile.

"Shoot him down!"

At the command of an officer inside one of the helicopters, muzzle flashes erupted. Bullets poured out like rain, streaking toward Yuzhou.

"They're actually attacking me?"

Yuzhou was momentarily surprised.

Then again, this was America. Even Spider-Man had been declared a top-level criminal. A giant like him was bound to be treated as a threat.

Bullets struck his body in an unbroken stream, sparks flying with each impact. Yet none of them inflicted the slightest damage.

"What do we do?! The attack isn't working!"

A soldier shouted nervously through the headset.

"Deploy rocket launchers!" the commander ordered.

As soon as the command was given, the side doors of the helicopters slid open. Soldiers stepped forward, shouldering rocket launchers and locking onto Yuzhou.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Multiple rockets streaked toward him in succession.

Yuzhou coldly watched the incoming attack as the colors of his body shifted.

In the blink of an eye, he transformed into silver and black.

Dark Tiga.

He caught the rockets effortlessly, crushing them in his clawed grip as they detonated harmlessly.

Then, a dark beam shot forth from his hand, blasting toward the helicopters.

"Retreat! Pull back now!"

Someone finally realized the danger and tried to escape—but it was already too late.

Explosions tore through the night sky. Fireballs bloomed one after another.

Not a single helicopter survived.

---

"They're insane. The White House has completely lost its mind."

From atop the tower, Captain George stared upward, dread creeping into his heart.

Who would have thought the White House would dare attack Ultraman?

What kind of confidence—or stupidity—did that take?

"Idiots," George cursed under his breath.

Ultraman's power was something humanity simply could not oppose.

At that moment, another thunderous roar filled the sky. George looked up to see squadrons of fighter jets racing toward Ultraman.

"Still coming?"

Yuzhou scoffed. "Insects."

A dark blue-black rod materialized in his hand.

The Giga Battlenizer.

"Come forth—Zoiger, Melba!"

At his command, dozens of purple light orbs burst from the Battle Nizer, transforming midair into monstrous forms.

"Destroy these fools."

Hovering calmly in the sky, Yuzhou rested the rod on his shoulder and issued the order.

Zoiger and Melba immediately sprang into action, diving toward the fighter jets.

"What are those things?! Monsters?!"

"Where did those giant birds come from?!"

"Mayday! We're hit—!!!"

Screams and frantic cries poured into the White House command room.

Inside, officials sat with tense expressions, sweat beading on several foreheads.

"Mr. President… perhaps we should stop," one congressman urged.

"This level of power is far beyond what humanity can—"

He was cut off.

"You should understand," another congressman snapped, "once we chose this path, there was no turning back!"

"If we can uncover the secret behind becoming a giant, we'll possess absolute power!"

"And yet," the first countered sharply, "have you noticed that every unit we deployed has already gone silent?!"

The communications channel was dead.

The reason was simple.

They were all dead.

"Authorize the use of nuclear weapons," the president finally spoke.

The decision to attack Ultraman had been discussed beforehand. The moment Ultraman appeared above the city, the White House took notice. A meeting was convened, and a plan devised.

Strike when Ultraman had just finished expending his energy—when he would be at his weakest.

Capture him.

Harness that power.

But none of them had anticipated just how overwhelming that power truly was.

"Mr. President—"

Someone tried to object, but fell silent.

Now that they had provoked him, there was no choice but to see it through.

In the skies, Zoiger and Melba rampaged freely, tearing through fighter jets with overwhelming force.

It was a one-sided massacre.

Yuzhou glanced once toward the night sky, then flew straight into outer space.

They had offended someone they never should have.

They would pay the price.

---

Beyond Earth's atmosphere, artificial satellites orbited the planet.

Identifying those belonging to the United States, Yuzhou swung his Giga Battlenizer again and again, smashing them into fragments.

Only after destroying them all did he nod in satisfaction and return to Earth.

As for the White House—

Melba and Zoiger would take care of that.

Not long after, one Melba and one Zoiger returned to Yuzhou's side, making strange sounds as they reported back.

"Looks like the mission was completed."

Though he could not understand monster speech, Yuzhou grasped the meaning well enough.

The White House—

Had been destroyed.
