Chapter 152 - Chapter 152: Reinforcing Earth

Gran's voice echoed through the dining hall.

"And besides, I never said I'd stay inside for three whole years."

He added, "I'm planning to go in for just one year… no, honestly, I might not even last a full year."

He enjoyed cultivation because he wanted to grow stronger—but he wasn't some true training maniac who wanted to cultivate every waking moment.

Take this recent training in Destruction rules, for example. He had trained for two straight years, destroying planets day after day to the point where he was practically sick of it.

In his plan, he intended to rest for a year first before entering the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

As for why he wouldn't rest inside the chamber

Was that place even fit for human habitation?

Just thinking about staying in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for an entire year made him want to throw up.

"That's good."

Beerus let out a sigh of relief. He knew Gran had understood what he meant.

The dining hall fell quiet once more.

At some point, Little Broly—who had already eaten his fill—quietly dragged Gran's dinner over to himself and began stealing food again.

Gran, Beerus, and Whis: "..."

"You should rest properly during this period," Whis said.

He and Beerus left the dining hall. Since Gran already had his own plans, they decided not to interfere.

Only Gran and Little Broly remained inside.

The chandelier hanging from the ceiling emitted a soft glow, its light spreading gently across every corner of the room.

"You little brat—eating like this every day, and you're still not getting fat!" Gran broke the silence as he lifted Little Broly up by the collar.

"Gran big brother~ Earth food is sooo good! I like the food here the most!"

Dangling in midair, Little Broly clutched a small chicken drumstick in one hand, looking utterly innocent.

"That almost sounds like you're saying my cooking isn't good," Gran's mouth twitched.

"No, no!"

Little Broly puffed out his cheeks. "Gran big brother's food is the best! But… but you don't cook for me anymore!"

His pitiful expression made Gran feel like he'd actually done something wrong.

"Do you really think I'm your personal chef? Just eat your food properly."

Gran tossed him back onto the chair and walked out into the courtyard.

Night had fully fallen. A waning moon hung in the sky, and Bulma was still sitting cross-legged on the lawn.

Judging by her state, she clearly wasn't going to be flying today.

Just as Gran was about to turn away

"Gran… is this ki?"

A voice suddenly came from behind him. Gran paused and turned around.

Bulma had stood up.

Her long legs looked especially pale in the dim night, and in her right hand hovered a white ki sphere roughly ten centimeters in diameter.

"Bulma, not bad at all!"

Gran was genuinely surprised. In just half a day, she had already learned to gather ki outside her body.

"Gran, is this ki?"

Seeing that Gran hadn't answered her, Bulma puffed out her lips and asked again.

"Yes," Gran said with a smile. "That's ki. As expected of a top-tier scientist—looks like a high IQ really does help. You managed external ki control in just half a day."

Unlike Videl, Bulma had never touched martial arts before. She had started completely from zero.

"You're flattering me, Lord Gran," Bulma said shyly.

"It's mainly because of the spiritual fruit you gave me—and because you guided my ki today."

Gran neither confirmed nor denied it. He pointed at her feet.

"Since you can release ki externally, try gathering it beneath your feet and releasing it there."

Flight was essentially the application of ki. To lift off the ground, condensing ki beneath one's feet was the fastest and simplest method.

Once she could leave the ground, the rest would be easy.

"Alright, I'll try."

Bulma clenched her fists and began focusing her ki beneath her feet.

Gran didn't disturb her. He simply stood to the side.

More than ten minutes passed.

Buzz

Finally, something changed.

A faint current of ki appeared around Bulma's feet, causing the grass beneath her to ripple in waves.

"This girl is kind of amaz—"

Gran's lips curved upward slightly, but before he could finish praising her, his expression suddenly darkened.

He rushed over to Bulma.

The next instant

The faint ki at her feet began to surge violently.

BOOOOM!!

A power level of ten thousand erupted outward.

Earth instantly exploded.

Inside the dining hall, Little Broly—who had been eating—was suddenly floating in the starry void, covered in dust and grime.

Beerus, who had been sleeping in his room, lost his bed entirely as it disintegrated in the explosion.

Whis, on the other hand, was fine—his bed had been protected by an energy barrier.

"Gran big brother! Someone attacked me again!" Little Broly flew over.

"Bulma—you dare interrupt my sleep!" Beerus roared as he arrived as well.

Whis elegantly stepped away from his intact bed, floating in space while letting out a refined "Oh ho ho ho~" laugh.

The group hovered in the starry sky, staring at one another with helpless expressions.

"Bulma is really amazing," Gran said with a smile.

Even he hadn't expected her to go this far—to the point of blowing up the entire planet.

…?

Why wasn't she saying anything?

Gran turned his head and saw Bulma's face had turned deathly pale—she was about to suffocate.

"Whis!" Gran shouted immediately.

Whis waved his staff.

In an instant, Earth was restored.

"Huff—huff!"

Bulma gasped for breath. Among everyone present, she was the only one who couldn't survive in space. She had nearly suffocated.

"Explosions at the drop of a hat… I'm seriously sick of this planet!" Beerus complained angrily.

"Whis, hurry up and reinforce it!"

"Yes."

Whis didn't refuse. He'd endured this planet long enough himself.

He waved his staff once more.

Buzz

A silver light sank into the ground, and Earth began emitting strange sounds under the night sky.

"Mr. Whis, reinforcing Earth like this… won't it affect people's lives?" Bulma asked worriedly as an Earth native.

"No," Whis shook his head.

"After my modifications, Earth will be no different from normal. The changes only manifest when it's subjected to catastrophic destruction."

Hearing this, Gran asked tentatively,

"To what extent have you reinforced it? What kind of power would be required to destroy Earth now?"

Everyone in the courtyard pricked up their ears.

Whis smiled mischievously.

"After my modification, destroying Earth is actually very simple—just surpass my power."

Beerus: "..."

Gran: "..."

Listen to yourself—are those even human words?

Simple?!

There probably weren't many beings in the entire Omni-King multiverse stronger than Whis.

"Then I'm relieved," Bulma said happily.

With her home planet now so secure, she was genuinely delighted.

Only Gran silently mourned for the future villains who might try to blow up Earth

this trick probably wouldn't threaten Son Goku and the others anymore.

Seeing Bulma still smiling, Gran said irritably,

"What are you smiling about? You nearly blew up your own planet just trying to learn how to fly. That's impressive in its own way."

"Gran, you!"

Bulma stomped her foot in frustration.

Seeing this, everyone burst into laughter.
