ETHAN'S POV
Three days had gone by since the fight with Lara, and we hadn't seen each other once. The Silverpine mansion felt too quiet without her around, like the rooms had lost their warmth.
I was still in bed, staring up at the wooden ceiling, when my phone rang on the nightstand. I groaned and reached over, checking the screen. It was Elder Julius, Lara's uncle.
I hesitated for a second before picking up. "Hello."
"Ethan, it's Julius," he said, his voice straight to the point. "I need you to come to the lodge. We've got things to talk about."
I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "Is everything okay?"
"We'll cover it when you get here," he replied firmly. "It's important."
I sighed, knowing I couldn't avoid it. "Alright, I'll head over. It's Friday, so I've got some time this morning."
"Good, see you soon," he said, then hung up.
