Adam was not in the mood to back down or offer easy platitudes.
He kept his eyes on the road, his jaw set in a hard line as he navigated the luxury sedan through the guarded entrance of their private estate.
The familiar, lush greenery of the grounds passed by in a blur, but Adam's focus remained entirely on the young man sitting in the passenger seat.
"If you were truly immune to Alpha pheromones like you have claimed so many times, you wouldn't have almost died today," Adam said, his voice echoing with a stern, logical weight.
"It is common logic to always preserve yourself first. Even when you are absolutely convinced that you are special or that the rules of biology do not apply to you, you should have considered the possibility of something going haywire."
"You should have protected yourself better than this. If something truly terrible had happened to you, do you have any idea how much pain you would be in right now?"
