"Hello. I am Wesley, husband of the Riverton Gym Leader, Marina. I am also a Pokémon Breeder and serve as the deputy leader of the Riverton Gym," Wesley introduced himself, seemingly sensing the questioning look in Kenji's eyes.
Gym Leader Marina wasn't as young as Tyson Tang; she was in her forties, approaching fifty. It was quite normal for her to have a husband.
"Mr. Wesley, hello," Kenji greeted politely.
"Where is Gym Leader Marina? Is she not in the Gym?" Kenji asked.

Kenji nodded in understanding, though he still felt a twinge of regret at missing the chance to battle the Gym Leader herself.
