Electabuzz crouched. Sparks are running across his body and Ice energy are gathering in both of his hands.
"Close range, keep moving! Don't let him use Earth Power again!" William commanded.
Shocker dashed forward, each step exploding with static. Nidoking met him head-on, with its hand glowing purple.
Their collision was like thunder.
Ice and poison clashed and the area around both of them cracks and shatters.
Shocker drove both fists into Nidoking's chest using Ice Punch followed by a Cross Chop. Nidoking countered with a sweep of its claws, barely grazing him, but enough to tear sparks from his fur.
They traded blow for blow, the air thick with grit and smoke.
At last, Nidoking's tail caught Shocker across the side, slamming him into the wall again.
"Electabuzz uses Volt Switch!"
With a roar, Shocker unleashed a pulse of energy and vanished in a burst of lightning, reappearing near William, panting but upright.
William exhaled through his teeth. "Good work." He turned to Eevee. "Tag in. Keep him off balance!"
Eevee darted forward, fur shimmering with energy. It zig-zagged through debris, launching a Swift barrage that pinged across Nidoking's armor like miniature comets.
Ralts joined, sending a telekinetic shove that staggered the titan for a heartbeat.
William's eyes tracked every movement, mind turning fast. 'We can't overpower him head-on. We have to wear him down and break rhythm, strike during recovery.
He raised a hand, voice sharp as command steel.
"Everyone. Focus attacks, draw his attention! Shocker, charge for Focus Blast!"
Electabuzz panting heavily but gathers the blue color energy which starts to form into sphere like vortex and becoming more and more bigger.
The cavern filled with rising noise with rocks trembling, static humming, Eevee's cries echoing. Nidoking roared again and charged through the smaller attacks, ignoring them, horn lowering.
William's hand dropped.
"Now! Focus Blast...full power!"
The big blue sphere like energy flew away from Electabuzz's hands, meeting Nidoking mid-charge. The blast tore a crater in the earth, shaking the entire cavern.
When the smoke cleared, Nidoking was on one knee, panting, sparks crawling over its armor.
William's own breath came slow and steady. "Good. At least he's on his one knee. A big Improvement I would say."
Shocker's knuckles cracked against Nidoking's armored chest, driving the larger Pokémon a half-step back. Dust showered down from the ceiling. The impact alone would have flattened an ordinary opponent—Nidoking just growled, claws digging furrows into the floor.
"Don't match strength, use rhythm!" William called, voice steady. His coat fluttered in the tremor from Nidoking's tail swipe. "Wait for his charge and redirect his attack!"
Shocker ducked under the sweeping tail, pivoted, and slammed a Low Kick into Nidoking's shin. The blow struck a nerve ridge; Nidoking staggered sideways, roaring in irritation rather than pain. The ground-type's counter came instantly which is a massive fist glowing with Poison Jab that missed Shocker's jaw by inches and shattered a boulder instead.
William's eyes narrowed, already calculating. "That speed is too fast. We need misdirection."
The Electabuzz grunted, wiping grit from his mouth, reading his trainer's hand signal. He darted forward again, feinting left then springing right with Brick Break, palm crackling faintly from kinetic discharge. The chop landed square on Nidoking's collarbone, driving the beast down to one knee.
Nidoking bellowed, violet energy rippling over its hide. The ground heaved with Earthquake. Shocker barely leapt away before the stone floor erupted, shockwaves throwing debris across the chamber. William shielded Ralts and Eevee behind him; grit peppered his sleeve.
"Jaw, now!" William barked.
The pond tunnel behind them exploded in a burst of foam. A sleek blue shape surged through is Sharpedo. Water sprayed across the battlefield as the Brutal Pokémon launched himself forward like a torpedo, teeth flashing. He collided with Nidoking's flank in a perfect Aqua Jet, forcing the larger Pokémon back a full meter.
The roar that followed shook the walls.
Nidoking's tail lashed, slamming Jaw across the pool with a resounding crash. Sharpedo righted himself, growling, eyes blazing gold. "Sharrr–pedo!"
William's command snapped like a whip. "Stay mobile! Don't meet him head-on again. Aim for the joints!"
The cavern light dimmed as more shadows gathered. From the tunnels around them, small eyes glowed in the dark with Nidoran, Nidorino, Nidorina are silent observers drawn by the fury of the duel. And then she appeared.
Nidoqueen.
Massive, regal, her presence quieted the murmuring crowd. She stepped to the edge of the stone ridge, arms folded, eyes fixed on the combatants. Her gaze carried neither hostility nor mercy but only judgment.
William sensed it and thought. 'More enemies to fight or just some observers.'
Nidoking charged, stomping down with Double Kick. Shocker braced, crossed his arms to block. The blow threw him backward, boots skidding across gravel. Before Nidoking could press the advantage, Jaw rocketed out of the water again, slicing low, knocking Nidoking's balance off.
William's mind worked like a battlefield conductor. "Cross pattern! Shocker high—Jaw low! Keep the pressure constant!"
Shocker understood instantly. He sprang up the rock wall, kicked off, and slammed an open palm onto Nidoking's shoulder with Focus Punch half-charged. The hit cracked against the armor plates, driving Nidoking's torso sideways just as Sharpedo swept beneath, teeth clamping around the creature's forearm. Water and dust exploded together.
Nidoking roared in outrage, muscles swelling with Rage. He tore free, slamming both fists down in a shockwave that threw Sharpedo aside and forced Shocker to one knee. Purple light flickered both of its hands and uses Poison Jab brewing again.
William's tone cut through the noise. "Defense rotation! Shocker uses Protect! Jaw. Dive! Go!"
A translucent barrier shimmered before Electabuzz just as Nidoking's fist struck. The shield rippled like glass under strain, absorbing most of the blow before shattering. The remaining force knocked Shocker back but left him standing. Meanwhile, Jaw vanished into the pool, water bubbling where he'd slipped away.
Silence for one breath.
Then a streak of blue erupted behind Nidoking with Aqua Jet through the spine of the Earth. Sharpedo collided again, pushing Nidoking into Shocker's waiting stance.
"Finish it with Brick Break!" William shouted.
Shocker's body glowed with scarlet energy; he drove a Brick Break straight into Nidoking's sternum. The sound cracked through the chamber like lightning. Dust exploded around them. When it cleared, Nidoking is laying down and panting heavily.
Nidoqueen's eyes narrowed. Around her, the lesser Nido-family members pressed closer to the cavern rim, breaths held.
Nidoking lowered his head, tail lashing like a whip. He wasn't angry anymore. He was focused. The air between them trembled with shared respect.
For a long heartbeat, no one moved. Only water dripping and the slow rasp of breathing filled the void.
Then William said with a smile while raising his hands. "Are we cool now."
