As Yvonne departed the Sterling residence, she decided to go in search for a job as she had rejected the offer of being Ava's assistant and was now technically jobless.
She hadn't told Ariana where she was headed earlier because she didn't want the girl to know she had spoken to her parents as it would make Ariana worry for her instead. Now, she took up her phone and quickly sent Ariana a text to ease her from wondering where she went.
"I'm currently trying to see if I can get a job around. I'd see you later" the text said.
Yvonne placed her phone back into her pockets and she boarded a cab.
Ariana was on the highway of St.Louis which was one of the ways to get to Maison estate when she got the text from Yvonne.
She had boarded a taxi also and thankfully she was a good distance away from the Sterling mansion.
Earlier on, as she climbed over the fence with the help of the ladder, a part of her was scared of what was going to happen to Trevor if anyone were to know he helped her out.
The worry and concern was visibly etched on her face as her thoughts spiralled.
Climbing over the fence, she landed in a barren, sparse area of land which created a distance between the Sterling home and the next house and quickly made her way to grab a taxi.
Looking out the window of the taxi, Ariana felt her phone vibrate on her thighs, she looked at the caller ID and found out it was Rodrigo.
Picking up the phone with irritability, she answered the call "What do you want?".
"Ariana can you please calm down? We need to speak about this like adults, not running away from me like you're doing" she heard Rodrigo say.
"If its not obvious to you, we're over and I'm not running away from you Rodrigo. I really don't want to set my eyes on you because I might lose my morals and give you a very good slap to the face as you deserve. I'm trying to be civilized here". She retorted.
"Ariana please. You're not like this, you're reasonable. Please listen to what I have to say. I need to see you" Rodrigo pleaded.
"When you're going around kissing other women? I don't think there's anything we need to talk about" Ariana said.
"You're being ridiculous. The picture you saw didn't see me doing anything with the woman. Yes we did walk side by side into the hotel at the same time, it doesn't mean anything happened while we were in there".
"Ohh please Rodrigo! Do I look like a child to you? Your hand was on her waist!" Ariana raised her voice slightly and the taxi driver gave her a look through the rear mirror but Ariana didn't catch it.
"I saw you at the restaurant Rodrigo. With the actress, kissing her cheeks like she's some candy. Now I don't even want to know what you did with the woman at the hotel. I really feel bad for the women you carry around, they think they have an intentional, loyal man" she said.
"Wh-what actress?" Rodrigo stammered.
"Don't act dumb Rodrigo!" Ariana said, infuriated.
"Okay! I accept it and I'm sorry. I really am but we need to fix this relationship, we're supposed to get married soon Ariana" Rodrigo pleaded once again.
"We're not getting married Rodrigo and don't bother looking for me!" Ariana knew Rodrigo wasn't aware of the location of Yvonne's house so there was no way he could go there.
"Ariana please. We really need to talk, let's meet by 5pm at our usual restaurant. The one we went to on our first date?" Rodrigo said.
"You mean business meeting because most of what we talked about while we were there was work" Ariana corrected him.
"Whatever you want to call it, it's fine. Let's meet there then. By 5pm" Rodrigo stated.
"Don't expect me" Ariana said before ending the call.
She finally arrived at Yvonne's house and paid the taxi man.
She was carefully arranging her clothes in the closet when she heard her phone ring. It was Trevor.
"Mr.Sterling and young miss Ava are on their way to the company now. You can come get your car" he said.
"Alright, thank you Trevor" Ariana said before ending the call.
She was surprised her parents always tagged along Ava to the company but decided not to think much about it.
She quickly arranged the few clothes she was able to carry and then dashed out of the house once more.
She hadn't left the Sterling house earlier with her car because she wanted to be discreet but now her family members were away, she could get it.
She boarded another taxi and arrived the Sterling house and luckily, Trevor had spoken truthfully so she was able to get her car without being seen by any of her family members.
