The darkness rolled over Kai's eyes; he didn't see anything, only the dark that was filled in his eyes.
Suddenly, he saw a bit of a light, then his eyes opened slowly. He was taken aback to feel his eyes opening without any heaviness on them.
"Phew, which means I died and I've lost a life. What a pain in the neck." Kai said while he looked above, while his heart pounded, feeling the world breeze again.
He suddenly felt a pillow or something soft under his head.
"This world is so comfy; its land is softer than… than…!" Kai said while he looked at his right side, he found a human slowly opening her eyes, hinting that she was sleeping and she was opening her eyes after she heard him talking.
"Hrraaaaa!!!" He rolled away from her legs and fell on the rough, tough ground. His heart pounded as he saw the girl. Fear flooded his body; his mind raced, searching. He asked himself who she was, why she was there, and why she put his head on top of her thighs since she had her legs folded.
Firstly, her look was new to Kai. Not really new since he saw her kind around the city, but he didn't think that he would talk to one of those or maybe get some help from them. 'Did this girl just help me in my eternal sleep by putting my head on her legs for comfort? I thought maybe they hated people like us!' he thought, his mind racing while his eyes directly glared at the astonished elf.
She was a pure glowing white girl in her complexion, with brown hair. Her ears were long; her kinds were called elves. Her eyes were black, and she was wearing a long white coat with a brown belt.
Kai scanned the girl from head to toe, and suddenly, a sweet voice echoed in the room.
"Sorry!" she said, her cheeks a bit red, her eyes looking downwards as she felt embarrassed.
Kai gasped, his eyes glaring at the girl who was apologizing.
"No, no, no, what are you apologizing for? You did nothing wrong; I should be the one to be sorry…." He paused a bit and scratched his head. He then continued, "Maybe to thank you too," he said quickly, his eyes looking aside, avoiding eye contact.
A flashy idea got into his head, and his face got solid, all of his smiles faded away, and the room was filled with tension. The girl exclaimed and gulped as she saw Kai's face scarily changing.
Her eyes widened, and fear fueled her body; her heart thudded while her mind raced as she tried to figure out what Kai was up to.
"So, who are you?" Kai's voice boomed as he deepened it.
"I'm…I'm…"
"Say no more! You are here to kill me, isn't that right?" She hesitated, then Kai continued, "Exactly, it's time to finish this."
A scary grin appeared on the girl's face; Kai's anger faded away in a second, and fear seized his body. He trembled in fear after he saw her lips stretched as she stood up carrying a sword.
"Huh?" Kai gulped, his heart vibrating while his knees shook constantly.
"It's time to finish this," you said? Okay, I'm waiting!" Kai couldn't hear the sweet voice anymore; her sweet voice turned into a scary, eerie noise in Kai's ears as he felt tension filling the place.
"Hey, I'm waiting for you. If I start on you, you'll regret the day you were born. I'll have to take away the life that I saved!" she said, her eyes scarily glaring at Kai as she narrowed them.
"Damn, damn, Mister Wolf, why are you sleeping right there while I'm under attack?" Kai said while he looked at the wolf that was sleeping, ignoring the two.
"The wolf won't save you; instead, it'll eat you right after I finish with you. So you said it's time to finish this, right? Then I'm waiting, with open arms that are holding nothing but a sword!"
'Is she for real? Nothing but a sword? Does she know what she's even talking about? She's opening her arms as if she wants to give me a hug?' Kai's fear decreased a bit, a bit of hope appeared, his eyes slowly narrowed, an open mouth slowly closed, and a bit of a grin molded his face. He continued silently. 'Okay then, I'll show her who I am!' Kai silently said, his mouth stretching, and a giggle escaped his mouth while watching the beautiful girl with open arms waiting for the rage of war.
Suddenly, Kai used his speed to go towards the elf girl, and the girl opened her eyes in astonishment, yet her body braced for impact.
