"Luffy, Usopp, you two pay attention. Everyone is watching!" Sandy reminded them from the side.
Luffy happily ignored him. "Sandy, I'm wearing these clothes from now on! Hehehe…"
Usopp echoed, "Me too—huh? What are you two doing?"
Nami turned her head and glared. "You have a problem with it?"
"No, no!!"
Usopp and Luffy exchanged terrified looks.
Sandy… actually had his arm around Nami's waist?
This must be a dream!!
Sandy snapped, "What are you two doing? Hurry up and get to the shipyard base!"
The four wandered around for a while and eventually arrived at Dock One, though they had no idea who to talk to.
Just as Luffy was about to climb over the railing, a tall man wearing a hat stepped forward to block him.
"Hold it. Unauthorized people aren't allowed inside the factory. What business do you have here at the dock?"
"Usopp?" Luffy and Sandy asked at the same time.
"Hey, hey." Usopp sighed. "I'm right here!"
Nami suddenly realized. "Oh, right—this guy's nose is square!"
"Hey, HEY." Usopp's soul almost left his body.
Nami quickly asked, "Um, we want to see Iceberg."
"Looking for Iceberg? Are you guests?" The tall man—with a nose rivaling Usopp's—took the letter of introduction from Nami.
After glancing at the graffiti-style writing, he nodded. "Ah, I see. A letter from Kokoro at Shift Station."
Sandy was speechless. That scrawl…
Luffy asked, "Are you an old man?"
"No, no." The man smiled. "This old man is twenty-three. Everyone calls me Kaku."
Usopp complained, "Why do you talk like an old man, then!?"
"Hahaha," Kaku laughed. "People say that a lot."
Sandy rolled his eyes. Cipher Pol 9 members really were good actors…
Nami pressed on. "Do you know Iceberg?"
"How could I not?" Kaku said warmly. "Iceberg is the Director of Water 7, the boss of our company, and he manages the Sea Train."
"He's amazing!" Nami exclaimed. "Then how do we find him?"
"Hmm… where would he be now? He's always busy and moves around a lot."
"What do we do?" Nami worried.
"Hahaha." Kaku grinned. "You're mainly here to repair your ship, right? Where is it docked?"
As he spoke, he began stretching.
"At the rocky cape," Usopp answered.
"Got it. This old man will check the ship's condition first. It'll make it easier to speak with Iceberg later and discuss the repair costs."
After a short dash, Kaku suddenly leaped high into the air—soaring out of sight.
Meanwhile, back at the Going Merry…
After Sandy and the others left, Robin and Chopper also decided to explore Water 7 and look for books. That left only Sanji and Zoro on board.
Sanji exited the kitchen and realized Robin and Nami weren't on the ship. He immediately ran off to shop for groceries… and look for beautiful women.
Zoro, meanwhile, was asleep on deck when someone suddenly slashed at him.
Clang!!
Zoro had blocked it effortlessly.
"I thought I could sneak attack you while you were asleep," a Franky Family member said with a smirk.
If Sandy had been there, he would've knocked the guy's head clean off.
But Zoro, with his calm temper, simply said, "Who are you? State your names."
"You want us to state our names? Pirate Hunter Zoro?" The burly leader sneered.
"We're bounty hunters—the Franky Family! We can even make crying kids shut up! We'll gladly take your seventy-million Belly bounty. Then we'll ambush the rest of your crew and capture all of you! Huge profit! Hahaha!"
"Yo ho, let's go, boys!"
"Take him down!"
Clang!
Zoro blocked the leader's strike again and glared.
"Good luck?"
He raised his head, beast-like aura erupting.
"Bad luck?"
A second later, the leader was punched straight into the air.
Too scary.
The Franky Family charged.
"Two-Sword Style… Rhino Cycle!!"
A single move sent them all flying.
Bored, Zoro sat down and went back to sleep.
Before long, Kaku arrived—the same "twenty-three-year-old old man" Sandy and the others had met.
After inspecting the ship, Kaku announced a result no one wanted to hear:
The Going Merry could no longer sail.
Its main support structure was broken beyond repair.
Sandy wasn't surprised. A ship was still just a ship. It couldn't heal itself like a human.
Elsewhere…
As Robin and Chopper wandered the streets, Robin encountered a member of Cipher Pol 9.
That name alone awakened the fear etched into her since childhood.
Her body froze.
Back with Sandy and the crew…
Not long after Kaku left, Iceberg finally appeared, accompanied by his secretary.
Luffy asked, "Who's that?"
Sandy replied, "Does it matter? The woman next to him has incredible taste in clothing."
Kalifa, Iceberg's secretary, wore high heels and a brown-yellow outfit. Her hair was tied back neatly, her figure stunning, and she stood close to one-ninety tall.
Sandy nudged Nami. "Her style is great. Nami, you should learn from her."
"Why would I learn from her!?" Nami snapped.
"Sexual harassment," Kalifa said calmly while adjusting her rimless glasses.
"Sexual… what?" everyone echoed.
Sandy's face darkened.
When he had first gone out to sea, he'd been ignorant and bolder. But now he was just complimenting her, wasn't he?
Iceberg asked, "Kalifa, have you investigated them?"
"Yes," she replied, opening her small notebook.
"I have: Straw Hat Luffy — bounty, one hundred million Belly.
Sleep God Sandy — three hundred million Belly.
Zoro — seventy million Belly.
Nico Robin — eighty million Belly—"
"Wait," Luffy cut in. "How much is my bounty?"
"Wait," Sandy added. "Me? Sleep God?"
Damn it. That must've been Garp.
He only joked about it once—why did it become his official title!?
"Sleep God" was the kind of mocking name given to students who slept through class. Not a cool title at all!
Sandy had transmigrated into a new world. How was that nickname still chasing him!?
"Yo ho!" Seeing his confirmed bounty, Luffy happily copied Sandy and did a few backflips.
Meanwhile, Sandy squatted in a corner, drawing circles in misery…
