Chapter 18 - Ah, Me Amor...

Standing in the middle of her large office that housed the simulation chamber, Herta stared at the trio that stood before her, intrigued at the thought that someone had managed to fulfil Zander One Kuwabara's theory of alternate universes. "So let me get this straight: you lot came via this... so-called 'Multiversal Chat Room', and the reason why you came here was that there was a mission issued by the so-called administrator, ordered to help the youngling-who-has-a-Stellaron-stuffed-inside-her survive from this onslaught. Am I getting this right...?"

Rhythmically tapping her staff, Herta thoughtfully turned her face towards them. Staring silently for a long time, she opened her mouth, wanting to know more about them, curious about what their world looked like. "Anyways-"

"Madame Herta, we have just received news that Curio 978 is functional!"

With a sudden clank, Herta jumped onto her staff before whizzing into the Curio gallery in the Storage Zone. Though he did not know why, Shinji had an inkling that it was deeply connected to him, and most of the time, his intuition, honed through years of combat (and a burgeoning divinity), usually ended up...

Correct

"Ooooohhh... Look, look... look at what the camera has printed out this time...?"

"*Gasp!* I-it's m-me with L-Lesley! We are both together eating ice-candy sorbets from Icerak-V! Oh what a glorious moment it is..."

"Sheila, my poor Sheila, how I miss you..."

Weeping on the floor, several researchers could be seen clutching what appeared to be Polaroid snaps, rolling around the floor, as they gazed at the papers before crying once again. "Uh, could anyone fill me up real quick on WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE!?"

Unable to comprehend the sight in front of him, Tony could not help but scream at the sight in front of him. He could not understand why a bunch of decrepit old fools were giggling like 5-year-olds as they rolled over the floor, while others cried, hanging on to the walls as they wiped their noses. It was only when Shinji saw what the rest of the researchers were surrounding that he realised why they were crying:

A dusty red-and-black Polaroid sat in the middle of the room, its body printing out yet another picture, of which Shinji seemed to notice that contained a scene of several male researchers partying around what appeared to be a troupe of kitsunemimi dressed in ancient Chinese garb, all while being fed grapes into their mouths. Okay, but you should seriously consider what the women think of you– And oh for the love of–!

Witnessing a bunch of perverts drooling over the Polaroid, Shinji quickly stormed over and grabbed it by its handles, before lifting it over his head. Seeing their precious being stolen right in front of them, the researchers went into a frenzy, but it lasted only a millisecond before they deflated themselves, for they realised it was Shinji, the man who had killed the Doomsday beast with a single punch, and a quite climactic one at that.

As they grumblingly waddled away, March couldn't help but stare at the camera, wondering what its function could be. "It looks cute, but mine is much better..."

As Stelle's eyes sparkled at the much 'fancier' one (at least to her), Shinji's attention was still at the old Polaroid, for he knew what it was...

So, old friend, seems to me you've found a new home here, eh...
