Xu Dan looked at the man before him as though staring at an idiot.
That Toma had ended up spilling everything after all!
"Oh, what a pity," Xu Dan said coldly. "If you'd told me earlier, your two brothers might still be alive."
"What?!"
"Just kidding."
He rose to his feet, released his grip—but that didn't mean forgiveness.The instant he let go, his leg lashed out like lightning!
That kick—enough to split solid granite in two—landed squarely.No ordinary human body could withstand that.
Thus, the three petty thieves met their end.
But even after dealing with them, Xu Dan didn't relax.
From what he'd learned, the enemy planned to bomb this place with helicopters!
Retreat!
That was his first thought.
He dove into his car, shifted into reverse, and the sports car's engine roared to life.The vehicle shot backward like a bullet, clearing the underground garage and speeding two or three hundred meters away from the villa.
When he turned his head—sure enough—several helicopters were cutting through the sky, closing in fast!
In less than ten seconds, they'd be directly above the villa.
And when they arrived—it would be a hell of gunfire.
Good thing he'd escaped in time.
Those weren't military helicopters, but modified ones—with twin machine guns mounted at the doors.Bullets from those guns could tear through steel plating with ease, let alone reinforced concrete.
If Xu Dan were still inside, he'd likely be blown to pieces.
Lucky escape.
But as he lamented the destruction of his carefully designed villa—
Suddenly, a figure appeared above the rooftop!
That strange, ghostlike silhouette emerged silently, as though out of thin air—so swiftly that even Xu Dan hadn't sensed it until it was there.
It was Goenitz!
The man who had been acting independently earlier—had returned at the most critical moment!
Xu Dan felt a wave of relief. Having such a capable subordinate was truly reassuring.
Meanwhile, on one of the helicopters—
"Target spotted on the rooftop—is it Xu Dan?" shouted Cory into the comms.
"Boss, too dark to tell!"
"Then light him up with Toma's flare rounds! And what about the three men we sent in earlier?"
"Uh… about that…"
This whole operation had been Cory's plan.His idea was simple: ambush Xu Dan when he returned home.
The three men he'd sent were his best fighters.If they could subdue and capture Xu Dan alive—perfect.
If not—if there were extra guards at the villa—then their task was merely to pin Xu Dan down.Then the helicopters would rain a storm of bullets, turning the villa into rubble.
Kingpin wanted Xu Dan alive, but with those three as human shields, Xu Dan wouldn't die.
Afterward, they could dig him out of the debris, patch him up at the hospital, and deliver him to the boss.
Mission complete, payday secured, and Cory could finally take that young beauty fifteen years his junior on a romantic escape.
But—
Dreams are sweet; reality is cruel.
His perfect plan shattered instantly before overwhelming power.
The figure on the villa roof—Goenitz—quietly closed the thick book in his hands.Then, he raised his hand and made a gentle sweeping motion.
That simple gesture unleashed a raging storm all around!
"What the hell is that?!" Cory shouted, eyes wide in terror as a massive tornado materialized out of nowhere, linking heaven and earth.
A sea storm?Here? In this area?Impossible! Unreal!
Helicopters are most vulnerable to strong winds—within seconds, every aircraft began shaking violently.
If they got pulled into that whirlwind, they'd all be finished—men and machines alike!
"Boss! We need to retreat now! The aircraft can't hold!"
Hearing his men's panic, Cory's own heart filled with dread.
What kind of monster were they dealing with?Was Xu Dan some kind of mutant?
But even mutants weren't this powerful—this was the power of a god!
"All units—fall back!" Cory barked, his voice trembling despite himself.
Yet before his command could even be executed—
Goenitz, as though reading their minds, moved again.
Another wave of his hand—A second tornado formed behind the helicopter group, cutting off their escape!
And then—one after another—
Five colossal tornadoes rose from the ground, towering like pillars of heaven, sealing the entire formation in the center!
The gangsters aboard the helicopters were struck dumb with terror.They had robbed, killed, and plundered their entire lives, but never—never—had they witnessed something like this.
Even thrill-seekers would have gone weak in the knees at such a sight.
What was this?!
The Five-Fold Storm?
In the darkness, those even darker vortexes slowly began to close in.
It was clear—Goenitz and Xu Dan were of one mind—he meant to make these men die slowly, in despair.
Within the ring of storms, the air currents turned wild and chaotic.The helicopters struggled to stay aloft; that they hadn't already crashed was sheer luck.
"Boss! There's a gap between the storms—maybe we can break through!" one desperate young man shouted.
Cory froze—but the others, hearing that sliver of hope, went mad.
Without waiting for orders, they gunned their engines and dove toward the gap!
If they could just get out—they might live!
Better to gamble than to wait for death.
But—
As soon as the first helicopter neared the storm's edge, it was snatched up instantly—the powerful vortex seized it like a beast's jaws.
The metal shrieked as the wind crushed and tore it apart; rotors and armor were ground down like tin foil.
The men inside barely had time to scream before they were shredded by flying steel fragments—reduced to a red mist in seconds.
The scene was horrific—blood and metal swirling together in the black tornado.
And yet, standing calmly on the rooftop, Goenitz frowned slightly.
"…Idiots."
Now only one helicopter remained at the eye of the storm.
He wondered if his master would scold him for letting them die so quickly.
