*Kala POV*
The whale made of water dispersed like a flashflood upon a large skyscraper. breaking through a couple of the floors and shattering the windows.
Luckily for Kala her cellmate held on tightly to a ledge that was mostly intact with one hand and onto her with the other so she wouldn't get swept away by the water as she woke up. After a couple of minutes, the water finally dispersed, yet the floor was still flooded with a red pool as the flashflood into the building crushed dozens of people.
Kala got on her knees and cupped some of the water in her hands then muttered, "Baleine, please give these people another chance at life somewhere more safe and secure." A small ripple happened in the water, then a head made of water rose out of it.
"Baleine? C'mon we both know you shouldn't call me by my name. Go on, properly address me." The head said with a mocking grin.
Kala looked away and corrected, "Goddess of the Sea and Philosophy."
The head shook, "C'mon, I said properly."
Kala rolled her eyes and said, "Mom." The head smiled and swirled around like a typhoon then disappeared as it said, "If you truly whish, I'll comply."
Kala sighed annoyed and stood up, her cellmate staring at her with her jaw taking in all of the bloody water from how low it dropped. Kala looked at her, then shrugged as if nothing, "Well this is it. Bye stranger, I've got to go find my friend."
Her cellmate quickly grabbed her by the hand, "My names Poppy. I think I might know where your friend is."
Kala looked at her with an untrusting look, "And why would you help me?" She asked in a rude tone.
Poppy looked around nervously for a moment. Then she said, "My boss said to look for someone who matched your description. I only think I know where she is, so I won't force you, but I'd at least like to stay in contact in case it does turn out to be them. After all you helped me escape prison."
Kala looked at her, she wasn't fully trusting her but responded in a kinder and more patient tone with, "Fine. If you ever need me just look at any body of water, call for Baleine, then ask to speak with me. She'll probably allow it... Probably."
Poppy nodded then asked, "And how does your friend look? Maybe I'll see them on the street you never know." Kala thought about it, not wanting to give away too many details. Then described Hirune as a half-moon with a 4 tipped star that gave a peek into the void on her clavicle. Then they parted ways.
*Hirune POV*
Hirune and Mr. Comedian walked around the dark and eerie ghost town, cobwebs scattered everywhere, the only audible sound being their breaths.
Mr. Comedian took a glance at Hirune, and noticed her skin looking pale in the moonlight, the void 4 tipped star shape on her neck now seemingly an extremely dark shade of violet. She looked stunning as the lighting shined on her silvery half of her hair.
Then he noticed a single dark splotch in the silver half of her hair. He wasn't sure if it was just him seeing things, or if it was actually there, maybe it was just part of her black hair going under some of the silver. Yet he still found it curious but decided to keep it to himself as he doubted that she herself knew about it.
Hirune looked back at Mr. Comedian, "Do I have something in my hair?" She said as she gently traced her fingers through her hair, seeming unconsciously avoiding the dark spot. Mr. Comedian shook his head saying it was nothing, then they heard a scratching sound.
Hirune quickly pointed a finger gun in the direction it came from. She'd been thinking of an easy and precise way to use the Devourer Jaw, and it came to her as they were going up the elevator. Her train of thought was that if it came out of a singular smaller preface of her hand, it'd be more direct and go faster as it should take less time to form.
Suddenly, one of the buildings walls collapsed and she pointed in that direction. A dark powder sent in a puffy cloud forward towards them. Hirune ended up inhaling it and quickly coughed, recognizing the charcoal smell.
Mr. Comedian threw his hat towards the charcoal smoke cloud while facing towards the direction that the first sound came from, the hat spinning and sucking in the entire thing allowing them to see what knocked down the wall.
There stood a tall, boney, pale humanoid figure. The figure's face seems distorted, a bunch of long sword-sized nails plunging through its head, its dark marooned hair drooping between the gaps. Its jaw disconnected with a long tongue that reaches down to its knees. A Victorian dress that's tattered all over barely covering anything up, as many shreds of muscles can be seen clearly ripped off exposing bone.
It screeched and reached its arms forward, then the space in front of its impaled face and its hands distorted, causing the sword-sized nails to double in its skull. Then the nails suddenly ripped themselves out leaving a huge hole in its head making its head fold over due to the lack of infrastructure, then the nails shot towards them.
Hirune quickly changed her finger gun to her hole hand, about to use the Devourer Jaws to eat them she hesitated and thought about it with barely any time on her hands. After all, her left hand still took the damage from the fire back in Medio, her right hand could have the same thing happen to it. Hirune thought for a second, then with barely any time left said, "Snake!"
Her shadow bubbled like boiling water, then the split second a nail plunged through her skull a snake came out of her shadow.
She said it too late, overthought her actions, and that ended her life.
