"The two of you can just stay here and work on it. We'll have your food delivered here because I hear you haven't had anything," Nana said.
We both nodded at the same time before she and the others walked out of the room, leaving only the two of us in the studio space.
I turned to Yushan, only to realize he was already looking at me.
I almost turned my head away on instinct, but I forced myself to remain still. It had basically been the theme of my entire day, forcing myself to face him with whatever confidence I could create, even if most of it was faked.
Just last night I had realized that I had spent so long being soft, being too open, and too easily pulled into other people's emotional storms. I realized recently that maybe that was why people felt so comfortable placing their problems on me.
