Silva woke up the moment he had been reborn in the forest floor.
As soon as he was born, he realised that he was naked. On the forest floor. For a moment he thought he was abandoned directly by the god who was his parent.
And then he saw her, a woman who was shifting between two people who came directly in front of him. For a moment, he was shocked as the woman did not even seem solid, then calmed down when she picked him up.
'Silver bow, night, looks like a hunter' Silva was slightly shocked as he recognised one of the forms the woman made.
'Artemis, I am the son of the goddess of the hunt. How the hell does that work. And that shifting, is that her Roman side Diana. What the hell is happening right now. I thought I will be born as the child of a random god, not a goddess who never had any child. Am I going to turn into a woman. I don't want to!!' thoughts rushed through Silva's mind in lightning speed in that moment.
Then came the next part where Artemis apologised and left him in the forest floor while covering him with a silver cloth.
For a moment, Silva didn't know what to feel.
Even though he had a good life in his original birth, he always felt lonely about not having parents and had gotten envious seeing other with them. For a long time, he had discarded those emotions as he felt like there is no choice in the matter for him.
But when he was going to be reincarnated, he had hope that he will get a parent this time.
'Guess this time was also a bust' Silva thought sadly but realised why his mother abandoned him.
'Being the son of a goddess that never had as child. It would end in ways that he can never imagine. So, she must have felt it was a nuisance to take care of him. Right'
For a moment, Silva felt like crying. He didn't know whether it was because he was sad or because he was reborn as a child with its physical characteristics.
'Now is not the time to cry, I am currently in the middle of the forest with no way to move at all' Silva thought as he tried to move and realised that he can't move anything other than his eyes. Figures, even if he was the child of a god, he was still a baby. And seems like he is not like the other godly children of Zeus who did awesome things just a few hours after they were born.
But there was one good news. Silva can clearly feel the blessings given by Karna before he reincarnated. He can also feel he got stronger, but his muscles were still not developed enough for him to move.
'I can feel the energy inside my body and this sort of makes feel full. But I have no idea what will happen if I don't eat anything and absorb energy passively.' As Silva was thinking about whether crying out loud will bring someone to help him, he saw something that seemed almost impossible.
'A Dodo' he thought as he watched the extinct flightless bird in front of him.
'Did I reincarnate in the ancient era or something. Damn what the hell' Silva thought as the dodo carefully picked him up with his beak and then began walking towards a cave nearby.
Silva remembered looking at that direction when Artemis had picked him up before. But he had never seen anything like it. But he suddenly saw a glowing symbol near the cave gate and immediately recognised it.
'Delta, the labyrinth' he thought as the dodo took him through the cave into many different passages, until it reached a clearing filled with lots of different trees with glowing towers of crystals that can only be described as beautiful. That made Silva remember about the dodo.
And just as the dodo brought him to a weak looking Satyr, Silva realised he was looking at the dying god of Nature Pan.
"Thankyou for finding him for me Dede" Pan said as he carefully took Silva from the Dodo's hands. He then looked closely at the child in front of him.
"After all this time, I never thought I would meet a child who is loved by nature as much as I was" Pan muttered as he used his power to see who this child was.
Pan was an ancient God of nature who participated in battles that shook the entire world. He immediately recognised the aura present within the child.
"Oh, huntress what have you done" Pan immediately realised what had happened. The child was clearly born from both the counterparts of the goddesses. Even he had a counterpart named Faunus. And unlike the other gods, he was in a good relationship with him, and they were both similar except for the fact that Faunus was a drunk.
Pan stopped himself from saying Artemis's name as he realised it was better not to do it right now and bring some wrong attention to himself.
"I thought it was a child or a reincarnation of some nature god, but it seems like there is no such luck" he then looked at the child closely again.
"Well, no matter. Since I made Dede bring you here, I will take care of you for the next five years. And looking at your eyes, I can see that you are smarter than a normal child. Is this because of your parent" Pan kept on talking while holding the child.
Five years later.
"You sure you don't want me to bring anyone here to help you" Silva asked as he shouldered the backpack he had prepared to travel. He might be young, but right now felt like the perfect age for him to reach camp half-blood without alerting any monsters.
"There is already a person destined to find me, I like him quite a bit too. So, I want my end to happen while giving my gift to him" Pan said as he looked at somewhere distant. He then turned towards Silva.
"I have taught you everything I can. You can reveal my condition to Dionysus or Chiron to enter the camp while keeping your parentage a secret. Though if you really require it, you can reveal your connection to me to everyone there. I still like to think that I am important to them"
Silva nodded at that and looked at all the animals who had been his family all these years.
Its time for the chick to move out of the nest.
A/N- hope you like it.
