Lena Cross's heels clicked across the polished floor as she walked through one of the most expensive boutiques in the city. Normally, the attendants noticed her the moment she stepped inside. They knew she loved to spend here. They knew she brought in good commission. They usually hovered around her like bees to honey.
But today, none of them looked her way.
Lena frowned, her eyes sweeping the room. It did not take long to see why. Miranda Vale stood near the center display, surrounded by attendants as if she were the sun itself.
