Chapter 1 - The Starfalls That Make You Fall in Love

An intense power radiated from Earth.

It was so overwhelming that neither humanity, nor the world, nor the stars—nor even the universe itself—could withstand it. Rippling energy surged outward from the planet, spreading first through the solar system, then across the galaxies, and finally throughout the entire universe. The cosmos began to tear apart, expanding and contracting like dough being kneaded, slowly fading into nothingness.

The universe could not endure this power and ultimately collapsed.

It was an immense explosion—one that marked not an end, but a beginning.

After the cataclysm, the universe slowly restored itself, returning to its former state on its own. Galaxies and star systems that had been shattered reformed as they once were. At the same time, Earth—the home of countless living beings and humanity—was recreated.

Over the course of a billion years, Earth fully took shape. Living organisms and microorganisms evolved one by one. Then came the human race. Humanity once again emerged and began to advance. Roughly a thousand years after their evolution, tribes formed and primitive technologies—such as spears—appeared. The human mind continued to progress faster than before.

But one day, as humans lived their ordinary lives, a massive meteor approached this newly formed Earth. Had it struck the planet, it would likely have erased humanity—just as a similar event had once wiped out pre-human life. However, before the meteor could collide with Earth, it shattered.

It continued to break apart, fragmenting into countless tiny, perfectly

triangular pieces.

These stones, glowing with a mesmerizing purplish-red hue and shaped into flawless triangles, rained down upon the world like a celestial storm. Those who witnessed this phenomenon could not take their eyes off it. They were utterly entranced—quite literally, in love.

To the people, it seemed nothing more than a beautiful natural event.

Yet these stones were destined to ignite a great revolution.

At first, while wandering the land, some people stumbled upon the strange stones. When they came into direct contact with them—touching them with bare skin—they discovered something astonishing. The stones seeped into the body through the nearest vein at the point of contact, rapidly traveling toward the heart. As they entered the bloodstream and advanced inward, they caused intense pain and a small trace of bleeding.

Naturally, people were terrified. The stones seemed alive, as though they were burrowing through flesh to claim their lives. Yet despite penetrating their veins and settling within their hearts, the stones caused no lasting harm. Nothing happened—or at least, nothing bad.

Soon, however, those who had come into contact with the stones realized that something had changed. After embedding themselves within the heart, the stones awakened a power—sometimes great, sometimes small.

The first to discover this was a young woman from a desert tribe. She had long crimson hair, a graceful face, and deep brown eyes. One day, while wandering slowly across the sands, she touched one of the stones. At first, she did not understand what had occurred, even after the stone reached her heart. But over time—during the countless moments she spent upon the desert sands—she began to notice something extraordinary.

When she focused her mind and concentrated, she could move the sand with her hands and feet.

She could shape it almost any way she wished—sending it swirling, rising, and flying wherever she desired. A gentle smile formed on her lips, and a newfound confidence awakened within her.

She felt different—truly different.

And across the world, she was not alone.

In many distant lands, others who had come into contact with the stones awakened their own unique abilities. Some could transform into animals or monstrous forms. Others could manipulate matter or elements. A few possessed powers that seemed entirely supernatural.

It was this woman—the first to discover the stone—who proposed a name for it. She and the nearby tribes called it "Konkai."

The woman who wielded the Sand Konkai learned faster than any other user. She was exceptionally talented. This gift became her strength—a trait that allowed her to lead her tribe. To her, rules and order were necessary not only for her people, but for the entire world. After all, she was the first to ever discover Konkai.

Her name was Sandriel Rosengard.

She mastered the sand so completely that she waged war upon other tribes—some she conquered, some she allied with, and some she simply destroyed. Others she absorbed into her society. She made people kneel with ease.

Sandriel: "People of despair! I am not without mercy.

Unite under my protection."

She united several tribes and formed a clan. Using her own surname, she named it the Rosengard Clan. Sandriel wielded sand as though it were a spear or a blade, refining her control into lethal techniques capable of killing with terrifying precision.

Over time, however, she began to misuse her power. What had once been confidence born of mastery turned into dominance. Her rule became strict and oppressive. She manipulated people effortlessly, forcing them to obey and bow before her.

She claimed vast territories across the desert and settled within them—though never permanently, for she preferred a nomadic life, moving constantly and absorbing new tribes into her growing domain. Sandriel gathered individuals from across the world who possessed Konkai, placing them under her protection and forging them into soldiers.

As she ventured deeper into the desert, she encountered both challenges and blessings—new powers, new people, new tribes.

One day, near the edge of the desert, she discovered a frozen land. There, wandering through the icy expanse, she saw strange creatures unlike any she had ever encountered before.
