"Do you really think I'd fall for those sweet words of yours?" he chuckled, a hint of arrogance in his voice.
Tsk! I clicked my tongue. "I'm not like your other girls. Don't even try."
"As expected of my girl," he said as he ruffled my hair.
"Stop calling me your girl. Don't treat me like I'm one of your toys," I snapped, irritation slipping through my tone.
He looked at me innocently, as if he didn't understand what he'd done wrong. I rolled my eyes. He only started changing when he got closer to Sol. I still remember what I read in the novel—how Cl would break Luna's heart again.
But I'm not that Luna.
I'm different.
I don't even belong in this world.
"But I treat you differently, Luna," he said softly.
"Whatever, Cl. There's only one girl you've ever treated differently."
I leaned close, enough for him to freeze for a second. My gaze locked on his, letting him know he couldn't fool me.
"And that girl is Sol."
