Victreebel suddenly shrieked, its voice sharp and piercing. Petals floated from its body as its vines danced gracefully, twirling amidst the petals.
There was no hint of killing intent, but that was precisely what made it so terrifying.
"A perfect combination of Petal Dance and Vine Whip? Killing invisibly while dancing—truly terrifying."
Alex's expression changed, becoming solemn.
He hadn't expected this girl, who was roughly his age, to possess such talent, especially since she didn't have the aid of a system like his.
Indeed, there's always someone better, and always something beyond what you know.
However, that's what made the fight interesting.
"Muk, Double Team, then Sludge Bomb!" Alex commanded.
Two powerful energies collided, and a massive cloud of smoke obscured their vision. No one could see the outcome.
After the smoke cleared, Victreebel was still standing in the arena, but Muk was nowhere to be seen.
"What happened? Was Muk knocked out?"
"Victreebel doesn't seem to have taken much damage."
The crowd below chattered excitedly.
Only Qing Shui looked grave. "No, Victreebel, dodge quickly!"
"Too late! Muk, Body Slam!" Alex suddenly commanded.
"Bang!"
Muk emerged from underground, directly crushing Victreebel with its massive body. Victreebel struggled within, pushing Muk's bulk high, but still couldn't break free.
After a while, Victreebel stopped moving. Only then did Muk lift its body. Victreebel lay on the ground, having lost its ability to fight.
Qing Shui was startled, quickly recalling Victreebel and glancing at Alex's Muk.
At this moment, Muk couldn't be said to be completely unscathed. It had barely managed to dig a hole and dodge the previous attack but bore many wounds, and its eyes were filled with fatigue.

The battle continued.
"Muk, Sludge Bomb!" Alex commanded Muk to attack first, striking preemptively.
"Charizard, don't be afraid! Meet it with Flamethrower!"
"Bang!" Muk's attack was broken by Charizard, and it was directly hit by Flamethrower.
"Come back, Muk, you did very well."
"The battle has only just begun. Go, Gyarados!" Alex finished speaking and released his Red Gyarados.
"Roar~"
As soon as Gyarados appeared, it let out a furious roar toward the sky. Charizard's eyes showed a momentary flicker of fear before returning to normal.
"Is that Intimidate? You really have a trick up your sleeve."
Gyarados's Intimidate ability can intimidate the first Pokémon it sees upon entering battle, lowering its opponent's attack stat by one stage.
"Gyarados, Hydro Pump attack!" Alex commanded, aiming straight for the kill.
If hit by such a powerful Water-type attack, Charizard would surely suffer.
But Qing Shui looked quite relaxed.
"Charizard, use Dragon Claw to cut it apart!" Qing Shui ordered.
A shocking scene unfolded. Charizard's claws suddenly turned blue, and with one horizontal swipe after another, it directly split the water jet from Gyarados in two.
