The aroma of roasted meat filled the air. Everyone was happily enjoying the feast, tearing at the tender flesh. But opposite them, someone watched, a deep glare fixed particularly on Kai. The dragon, however, paid him no mind, continuing his lively chat with Travis and munching on his portion.
Unable to tolerate the sight any longer, Derek finally moved from the shadows of the tree where he had been standing. He was about to approach when Travis stood up as well, holding a generous chunk of meat wrapped in a leaf. He had intended to share it with Derek, since the Lion King had stubbornly refused to join them. Instead, they bumped into each other.
"Still angry, King? You don't have to be. Come and eat," Travis asked, his eyelashes fluttering, making him look disarmingly cute.
"Join us by the fire; it's fun," Travis assured him, gently pulling the lion closer until they reached the others.
