Huan was waiting in front of Nael's room when Alexander came out.
"We should go now. You have already postponed the meeting with them twice," Huan warned. They were supposed to leave yesterday, but Alexander chose to cancel all his appointments to accompany Nathan.
Alexander just nodded, but instead of going downstairs, he went to Nathan's room.
"Has he had breakfast?" he asked.
Huan shook his head because he had not seen the boy yet. And after they entered his room, Nathan was still fast asleep.
Alexander walked slowly, frowning at Nathan's curled-up sleeping position with a messy blanket covering his body. His cell phone was lying next to him.
Alexander was very protective of privacy, and he never touched his younger siblings' personal belongings, but at that moment he was very curious to look.
He smiled when he saw that the phone was unlocked. And there was a game that Nathan seemed to have been playing until he fell asleep.
After that, he placed the phone on the table next to the bed. He spent about ten minutes staring at his brother, who was still fast asleep. His heart warmed just seeing him there... so close to him.
"Alex..." whispered Huan. He looked at his watch with worry. They had to leave soon.
Alexander asked him to be quiet because he did not want to wake his brother. He still wanted to stay there, but five minutes later he decided to leave, after carefully fixing Nathan's blanket.
After closing the door very quietly, he looked at Huan. "Have you found out who the thief at the pier is?" he asked.
Huan nodded. "Steven caught him. He will take care of everything, as usual."
"Bring him to me. I want to see him tonight."
Huan paused for a moment before finally nodding. "Do you want breakfast or can we leave now?"
"You are in such a hurry. Are you hungry?" Alexander asked.
Huan held his breath for a moment, calming his heartbeat. He did not like being late. They had to be at the Bahama Hotel outside the city at 9 a.m. And this was an important meeting. If it were not for Salazar's name, they would not have been patient after two schedule changes.
"I cannot eat until this matter is settled," replied Huan.
Alexander walked to his room and chuckled. "My poor Huan."
His words made Huan clear his throat, his cheeks turning red.

Nathan was surprised when he woke up at ten in the morning. His heart was beating fast and he hurried to get out of bed. But then he remembered that he did not have school that day.
His chest was still pounding when he sat back down on the edge of the bed. After calming himself for a while, he walked to the bathroom and washed his face.
Once again, he was amazed by the bathroom. He never got tired of praising all the nice things in there. What did his family do to become this rich?
He walked out and headed to the balcony. It was cold. He looked at the snow-covered garden. Then in the distance he saw what looked like a small frozen lake. He did not see any other houses.
Maybe in the spring the view would be very beautiful. His eyes wandered in all directions, looking at the large mansion. And he felt cold. But as he was about to go back inside, the corner of his eye caught a movement.
A room on the same floor as him. With the curtains half open. His eyes narrowed when he saw a shadow move inside. Then a small scream. Just once.
After that, silence.
Nathan stood there for a moment. His eyes widened when he saw his brother Leo come out of the room. The man looked surprised to see him. But then he smiled slightly and waved.
Nathan turned his face away, not wanting to look at him. He turned around and shut the balcony door.
His mood instantly turned bad. But then he remembered he had a cell phone. He should remember Vale's number. He would be very happy if he could talk to him. Should he meet Vale later?
Good idea.
Just as he was about to leave the room, he stopped when the door opened and Malvin came inside.
"Are you awake? I brought you breakfast. I thought you were still sleeping," said Malvin, with a warm smile. In his hand was a tray with a sandwich and warm milk.
Nathan immediately realized he was hungry. But he was used to not eating breakfast, even if it was just a piece of bread.
"You can eat it. I am not hungry," said Nathan, lying.
Malvin looked at Nathan. "Are you going somewhere?"
"That is none of your business."
Malvin looked at Nathan's clothes, which were only a long shirt and long pants. "If you want to go, wear a thick jacket. It is very cold outside. And we are going to buy Christmas decorations later, you have to come with us."
Nathan frowned when he heard the words 'have to'. "Why do I have to? I am not interested in going."
"Come along, you will really like it. You can choose the decorations you want," Malvin tried to persuade him.
"No." Nathan walked quickly past his brother.
Malvin hurried to block his way, almost spilling the milk on the tray. Nathan quickly grabbed the tray, then stepped back, glaring.
Malvin looked closely at Nathan. "You have a lot of jackets in there. Choose the one you like. Everything in this room is yours. Do not go out wearing a shirt like that."
Nathan wanted to reply, but Malvin spoke again. "If you do not want me to remind you, I will leave. But please wear a jacket. I beg you."
Nathan was surprised to hear Malvin's words. The man was begging him for something he should not care about. He felt annoyed because Malvin made him uncomfortable, but at the same time, it warmed his heart.
"Get out," Nathan said, hiding his feelings. He could not let their attention affect him.
Malvin sighed. Nathan felt guilty when he saw his brother's sad face. But then he forced himself not to be weak. He had to show that he did not want to be part of them.
Nathan walked to the changing room. Now he felt a little relieved because of Malvin's words. Those things belonged to him. So he could wear them as he liked, right?
But all those things. So many. Were they all really for him? He looked at the rows of shoes. There was no way he could wear them all. It would take months for even one pair to wear out.
He picked up a fur jacket that looked warm. And it turned out to be very comfortable. He had never thought about quality; just having a jacket was enough. But the jacket he was wearing now was so comfortable and warm.
That day he spent his time going around the city with Louis, because Louis never wanted to leave him alone. And Nathan was cruel enough to make him overwhelmed while following him around.
Louis was panting in the middle of the playground. He lost Nathan again. The young man had just left to buy a burger, but when he followed him into the burger shop, Nathan was gone.
