"Oh? Should we turn around?" Queen, at the helm, asked, a cigar in his mouth.
Though he asked the question, Queen's tone was disdainful.
He looked down on the Celestial Dragons, but he knew how much trouble they could cause. Still, he looked down on them.
Hearing this, Kaido, sprawled on the dragon head, immediately became displeased, jumping onto the deck, asking arrogantly, "Why?"
"Just Celestial Dragons. Who do you think I am? Steer the ship closer!"
Noro facepalmed.
He knew why Jack was so reckless. He'd inherited Kaido's nature.
Truly a fine tradition of the Beasts Pirates.
Kaido suddenly felt he was being too arbitrary. The Beasts Pirates had a vice-captain.
So he walked to Noro, boasting about his heroic deeds in the past,
"Noro, you don't know. Don't let those Celestial Dragons' high status fool you. At God Valley, the Rocks Pirates killed them like dogs. Nothing to be afraid of."
Stussy picked a grape, feeding it to Noro, smiling as she chimed in, "Yeah, a bunch of scum."
The Rocks Pirates were so great, alright!
Noro, of course, wasn't afraid of the Celestial Dragons, but as he'd said in the first chapter, he wasn't interested in overthrowing the Celestial Dragons or liberating slaves.
They were still in the startup phase. It was unwise to attract the attention of the Marines and the World Government now.
But seeing King's body trembling slightly, despite his efforts to remain calm, and his hand unconsciously gripping the hilt of his long sword,
Noro's lips curved upward, a playful glint in his eyes.
An eight-hundred-year-old feud?!
Interesting.
King's lack of Conqueror's Haki had always been a headache for Noro.
"The qualifications of a king" were innate. King, even at forty-seven in the original story, didn't have Conqueror's Haki, so he probably didn't have it.
But Noro knew a way to awaken Conqueror's Haki through unorthodox means!
Noro nodded with a smile, "You're the captain, you decide."
Kaido grinned savagely, "Worororororo... Queen, full speed ahead!"
"Understood!"
Queen exhaled a puff of smoke, steering the "Azure Dragon" forward at full speed.
King stared in disbelief. They really were a bunch of crazy, lawless bastards!
Not only had King spotted the enemy warships, but the CP agents on the warships had also spotted the Beasts Pirates.
The "Azure Dragon's" massive hull, though they didn't recognize the skull flag, made the agents wary. They quickly ran to report to the Celestial Dragon, Saint Isolde.
"Reporting, Saint Isolde, a huge pirate ship has been spotted ahead. Should we..."
The agent hesitated, unsure how to put it.
Asking the high and mighty Celestial Dragon to give way? What was the difference between that and slapping a Celestial Dragon's face?
But the other ship was approaching aggressively. If they didn't give way, with such a massive pirate ship, who knew how many people were on board?
If a battle broke out, bullets and cannons had no eyes. If Saint Isolde was even slightly injured, everyone on these ships would be dead.
Before the CP agent could finish speaking, Saint Isolde, riding on his tall "mount," was already furious.
He lashed out with his whip at the CP agent, who didn't dare dodge. The whip struck his face mercilessly.
Blood and flesh blurred, blood flowing freely from the wound.
The CP agent didn't dare cry out in pain, kneeling down in fear and apologizing, "I'm sorry, Saint Isolde."
Saint Isolde snorted coldly, "Let the warships move forward. I want to see who's not afraid to die."
The "mount" below, hearing their conversation, a strange light flashed in its eyes, then it quickly lowered its head.
What was it thinking? How could anyone dare offend a Celestial Dragon? Even if they did, how could these few warships be a match?
Moreover, if a Celestial Dragon was attacked, an Admiral would intervene.
Saint Isolde, as if sensing something, lashed out with his whip at the "mount."
The "mount" cried out in pain, a beastly wail.
Saint Isolde's face twisted into a satisfied smile.
This was his favorite mount. Not a giant, but it could reach nearly six meters tall.
Later, he'd specially found a Devil Fruit and fed it to this mount.
The Cat-Cat Fruit, Model: Lion.
After transforming, the mount was even taller.
But he didn't like the mount turning into a lion. What was the difference between that and riding a lion?
He liked the mount in its human-beast form, then riding it to show off to other Celestial Dragons.
The mount gritted its teeth, daring not to speak its anger.
It had never imagined that its tall stature would become a curse.
Just because a Celestial Dragon had taken a fancy to it, its parents had died violently, and it and its sister had become slaves.
If it was just himself, how could he endure such humiliation? Even if he couldn't kill the Celestial Dragon, he'd bite off a piece of his flesh.
But he had a sister. He couldn't be impulsive.
As his sister grew older, he became more and more pained. What kind of people were the Celestial Dragons? He knew too well after these years of slavery.
Could his sister really escape the Celestial Dragons' clutches?
The mount lowered its head in despair.
Saint Isolde lashed out with his whip again, sneering, "You lowly mount, do you think someone will come to save you?"
"Hahahaha, keep dreaming. Just thinking about it is a dream. Who would dare offend the noble Celestial Dragons?"
Saying that, Saint Isolde became almost deranged, laughing as he whipped the mount.
This damn mount, it actually had such rebellious thoughts.
Even if it was just thinking, that wasn't allowed. Thinking was also a crime, it deserved to be beaten!
The mount roared, wailing in pain.
This was a roar Saint Isolde had demanded. It could cry out in pain, but it had to use a lion's roar.
Before long, the mount was covered in wounds, blood and flesh blurred.
Saint Isolde didn't care. Since he'd fed it the Lion Fruit, this mount was very durable and recovered quickly.
After beating his slave, the outline of the "Azure Dragon" appeared in Saint Isolde's sight.
Looking at the massive pirate ship, Saint Isolde's eyes filled with greed again.
Such a big pirate ship, he wanted it!
He immediately called over the CP agent beside him, ordering, "Tell them to kill the people on the pirate ship, but don't damage the ship. I want this ship."
This was an order not to fire the cannons, to fill the gap with their lives!
The CP agent's heart was bitter, but he didn't dare disobey Saint Isolde's orders. He could only nod in agreement, then turned to relay the order.
"One, two, three."
"Three warships, and a Celestial Dragon's yacht."
Kaido and Noro stood at the bow, smiling as they looked at the warships and the Celestial Dragon's yacht ahead.
Their eyes showed no awe, only recklessness and arrogance!
"Hey, Queen!"
Kaido shouted to Queen, "Time to test out your special cannons."
Queen, a cigar in his mouth, smiled as he replied, "No problem, I'll show you their power!"
The dragon's mouth slowly opened, revealing the dark muzzle...
