Roman's POV
Where did it all start to go wrong?
That night when I left her, so sure she wouldn't walk away?
Or years before that, when I accepted Vivian's proposal and made her my girlfriend?
Who should I blame?
My mother… if only she hadn't controlled every part of my life.
No.
It was all my fault.
I let out a bitter chuckle, wiping the tears clinging and burning at the edge of my eyes, and looked at the woman I still loved.
I should never have hurt her.
"So this is all just revenge? Are you satisfied now that the Housley is ruined?" I asked, my voice hollow with desperation.
Viona clicked her tongue, irritation clear on her face, like she was already tired of talking to me. And that alone tore something in my chest. I almost forgot how warm her smile used to be whenever she looked at me.
