As Menma entered his apartment, the dark apartment unit became alive with light as Menma began to move throughout the unit. Menma suddenly went to the balcony that faced the street he was just on to see what was going on. By the time Menma made his way to the balcony, the dimly lit dirt street was empty. Not a person was in sight.
"Damn they already left. Oh well hopefully Fugaku and Shisui can convince the Hiruzen to listen to them."
Menma began to put the food Mikoto prepared for him away, and clean himself up after his long day. A hot bath to relax his weary mind, and some cold milk to calm his body after. After that Menma made his way to a small room adjacent to his bedroom, he then sat in a meditative pose. One thing was on his mind for today and that was making contact with Kurama.
As Menma began to meditate in the dark room time began to flow slowly. He didn't know for how long or what was happening around. Little by little his consciousness slow began to drift more and more.Until the dark room surrounding him became and dimly light huge underground prison. When Menma opened his eyes the yellow tint of the light revealed a sewer-like area with a giant cage and bars.
As Menma tiny body stood in up he looked towards the giant cage that had a seal on it. Then he spoke.
"Hello.... nine tails can you hear me?"
Then suddenly large demonic red eyes appeared in the darkness of the cage. As cold bloodlust was released from cage. Menma new Kurama couldn't hurt him, but that doesn't mean he still isn't scary to look at. Menma was amazed, he never thought he would ever see thee nine tails fox outside of his imagination, and now he was in the Naruto world right in front of it. Well it's seal essence to be exact.
Menma had held in his breath unknowingly and decided to breathe. After exhaling he gave a deep bowe to large creature Infront of him and he spoke.
"Hello nine tails I am Menma Uzumaki it's nice to..." A large roar and clang could be heard before Menma could finish his sentence.
"I know who you are brat. I have no want or need to talk to you unless your gonna undo this seal and release me from this cage."
Same old Kurama always angry but I don't blame you buddy. Me and you are in the same predicament only my cage is much bigger then yours.
"I had every intention on releasing you."
Kurama stopped emanating blood lust for a moment.
"What did you say?" Kurama said with confusion in his voice.
"I said I want to free you, but let me be clear on what I mean. First I know you can hear and see what I do. So you know about me telling the Uchiha about the Akatsuki and what their plan is for the tailed beasts."
"I saw and heard. Why should I care about some ninja coming after me, I will kill them like the rest. Just release me already."
"Right now I can't do that."
"I see so you were lying so human of you." His words dripped with anger and range as hit the cage door again in frustration. "Your kind can't be trusted, all you want is my power and to cage me."
"No I don't want to keep you here longer then is needed. I want you to work with me by choice, not because your forced to. I know your true name and one day I would hope you would let me address you by it."
"How does a child like you know my name?" Kurama eyes narrowed at Menma in suspicion.
"I know these things because I saw them all." Menma proceeded to tell Kurama about being a soul from another world. He told him about watching the story of Naruto and how he was not supposed to exist and brief moments from the original story leading to the end of the Shippuden series..
Kurama said nothing as he took in everything Menma said. "So your saying that I was supposed to be sealed inside your bodies twin brother Naruto. And that this Akatsuki organization plan is to revive the 10 tails, along with it being a secret plan to also revive the mother of the sage of the six paths Kaguya Ōtsutsuki?"
Menma nodded. "Yes that is all correct."
Kurama sat there for a moment the giant orange furred foxed was in deep thought on what to do. He knew most of what the child was saying was true. The other information he couldn't understand himself, and being a soul from another world is beyond his understanding.
"Let's say what your saying is true being a soul from another world and knowing how this story is supposed to go. What is you want?"
Menma stoic expression made a slight shift to one more serious. " I want to be break the cycle of hate and war in this world. In order to do this I must be stronger and get rid of the Akatsuki and stop the rebirth of Kaguya and the other Ōtsutsuki when they come."
"Wait are you saying there are more of these Ōtsutsuki out there?"
"Yes. They will come to take over where she failed and bring the tailed beast together retrieve to God Tree's chakra fruit. They shouldn't be here for another 29 years, but with me making changes to the timeline that could all change. Either way I need to become way stronger the Naruto was originally."
"What about me? Are you saying I have to stay with you for three decades?"
Menma shook his head. "Not necessarily I just need your help for the next at least the next 15 to 20 years at most. Hopefully I won't have to make you wait to long. But I do have a request."
"Oh..? Wait is it you want my chakra?"
"Yes. but that is not it. I have a plan in the future after I learned to synchronize with your chakra and you on a higher level without losing control. I will undo the seal and we will be a partnership. But my true request is that you help me revive the Uzumaki clan and become it's guardian spirit."
Kurama's eye widened in shock. "You want me to help you what?"
"I want you to help me rebuild the Uzumaki clan and become the guardian spirit. Right now my people are divide and are only have of what they once were. What I need you to do is over the next few years train and refine your chakra."
Kurama growled and bared his fangs. "I am a chakra beast boy. My chakra control is already far above what any normal human can do. It's not my fault if your puny bodies can't handle the power you crave."
Menma chuckled. "What I meant is that I want you to get on the level of control as a sage of six paths. I know each tailed beast has a special ability associated with your chakra. What I mean is when your released from the seal I want you to be able to take a human form. Live among humans and be hunted less. Blessed the Uzumaki clan and the ones entering our family with your chakra."
"Why would I want to live among you humans. Your liars. Thief's. And kill each other for the little of inconvenience. Or just because you want to.... you lust and greed knows no bounds."
Menma paused for a moment before responding. He new everything Kurama said was true. that is exactly human nature.
"Your right. Humans are everything you say they are. Push comes to shove more humans will be there worse self's then coming together to unite and be better."
Kurama's eyes narrowed as Menma continued to speak.
"The natural state of humanity is disorder. Which is basically let nature take it's course. The weak will die and the strong will live. But sometimes just sometimes you will find humans who are nice kind and don't want to help others. I don't like the fact that the people of this world fight for no good reason but because a Daimyo says so. Instead of uniting the lands to become a unified nation they choose to do nothing productive and keep the status quo."
"So your saying want to break the cycle by ruling it?"
Menma paused before answering. "..... It's not that simple. I want to free all the tailed beast and have them work with the humans to unite all the villages. After the cycle of war is broken and the cycle of hate is ended, then I will bring this world together by force. But that force will be with the truth of the Ōtsutsuki. I will also show them a better way to live and grow stronger, without sending children to war for their whole lives. So I will kill the Daimyo and take over. I will unite the villages under the tailed beast that can take human form. With the help of a selected ninja the strongest and wisest. I will united this world and lead it to a new age. Then I will disappear and find my peace and happiness."
"You think I will help you with a crazy plan like that? Not just me you think the other tailed beast will help you as well?"
"Why not it's a win win. The tailed beasts are embraced and no longer hunted for their power. The ninja who want to end war will end it for a few generation. And we will have enough people to stop the Ōtsutsuki. I just have to convince the other tailed beast to help."
Kurama gazed into Menma's eyes. His expression reminded him of Hagoromo. The way he looked at Kurama. They weren't the eyes of someone who saw him as a beast. Not like the others that came before. They were the eyes of someone who looked like they cared.
"Fine. I will follow along for now. Not that I have much of a choice anyway. It would be better to help you or just die and get reincarnated. Then to get caught by this Akatsuki or Ōtsutsuki. So what do we do first?"
Menma gave a small smirk. "We start with training I need to learn how to use your chakra without being consumed by it and running amok."
Kurama nodded. "I agree. so lets start with the basics then, I will teach you what I know about chakra and how to mold and change it. Since my affinity is not specifically one but a small mixture of multiple you will learn all the different ones and go for your strongest affinity and your weakest."
"I'm glad we are on the same page the. " Menma then bowed to in a respectful pose to Kurama.
"I am in your care Kurama sensei."
Kurama eyes widen. So he does know my name. It's been so long since I heard it. The last person to say it was Hagoromo.
Kurama then crossed it's arms and had a small smirk on his face. "Kurama sensei huh.... I like the sound of that. Now get ready Menma I won't go easy on you."
"I wouldn't have it any other way."
