Divine Departure—Kamusari—was a sword technique that every hardcore One Piece fan recognized instantly.
Its principle was brutally simple: a devastating flying slash, sheathed in Conqueror's Haki, strong enough to split the heavens and your self-esteem at the same time.
Back in Jaeger's old world, "Divine Departure" had practically achieved meme status. There were entire threads dedicated to that one panel:
Roger's face twisted with wild glee, chasing anyone and everyone, swinging Kamusari like some Conqueror Haki-charged madman on a caffeine binge.
But what most fans missed was the true meaning behind the name. "Divine Departure"—Kamusari—actually came from the Kojiki.
It didn't mean "God avoids" at all. In the original myth, it referred to the death of the goddess Izanami.
So the real meaning wasn't about gods dodging anything.
It was simple:
Not even the gods can escape this slash.
In the manga, Kamusari debuted in all its glory—Gol D. Roger, Pirate King himself, completely overwhelming Kozuki Oden with a single, earth-shattering strike.
After Roger's era ended, the technique was inherited by Red-Haired Shanks, and it resurfaced in the modern age for one of the most iconic one-shots in history—where poor "Captain Mid" (rest in pieces, Eustass Kid) got sent straight to the shadow realm in a single swing.
Before Jaeger reincarnated, Kamusari was basically peak swordsmanship in One Piece. The gold standard. The kind of move that made even the most broken devil fruits sweat nervously.
Now, thanks to slaying Roger, Jaeger possessed this technique as a Noble Phantasm—the Divine Treasure forged and elevated by the [Hand of Hermes], reimagined by the Throne itself.
[God Avoid]
Level: 1
Type: Conceptual Noble Phantasm (Weapon-Type)
Originally the ultimate sword technique of Pirate King Gol D. Roger. When fused with the divine power of Hermes' Hand, it transcends legend, manifesting as a weapon even gods would fear.
When sealed, it takes the form of an ornate golden longsword—regal and dangerous, even without being unleashed.
But once invoked, it reveals its true form: a guaranteed hit conceptual slash. A strike that ignores every kind of defense—space, distance, time, even the laws of reality. Durability? Useless. Evasion? Impossible.
This is the finisher of all finishers, the technique that embodies the phrase:
"Even the gods cannot avoid it."

Miyuki Uchiha: "A guaranteed hit…? Okay, remind me to never challenge you to a duel. Haha—not that I ever wanted to, anyway. Actually, I think I'm a huge fan of yours."
Esdeath: "A technique that bypasses every defense… Now that's a real power worth respecting. I'd love to see how it measures up against my own strength."
Luo Hao: "Indeed… this divine armament eclipses even the Authorities we Campione obtain from slaying gods themselves. The only question that remains—just how overwhelming is the power within this unavoidable slash?"
Esdeath:"Exactly. That's what I'm curious about too."
Esdeath wasn't the type to be blinded by flashy descriptions. She knew better than anyone that, in the end, it always came down to raw attack power.
No matter how unbeatable a technique sounded, the real test was what it could actually do on the battlefield.
Yamamoto Mei: "Sigh… this effect's even more busted than Gáe Bolg's causality reversal. If my Zanpakutō had a guaranteed hit too, Aizen wouldn't have lasted a single episode!"
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Hmm… must-hit and must-die? That's a scary combo. Remind me never to write a villain with that kind of plot armor."
Sakura Tohsaka: "Congrats, Jaeger-nii! You've got a hard counter for illusions and tricky abilities now." (〃▽〃)
Nerona Jaeger: "Sakura-chan, you're too sweet. Thanks."
Nerona Jaeger: "Anyway, my mission in Impel Down is complete. I'm ending the stream now—wait, huh?"

Back aboard the ship bound for Mary Geoise, Jaeger was just about to end the livestream and settle in for some quality Stussy time—maybe even sneak a nap—when his plans were interrupted by a heavy shadow.
A tall figure stomped up, radiating all the charm of a volcanic eruption at a tea party.
"Jaeger-sama!"
Jaeger blinked. Admiral Sakazuki—Akainu in the flesh—was right there, magma simmering under his skin, looking like he might burst into flames out of sheer earnestness.
And then, the unthinkable:
Akainu actually bowed. Not just a little nod—an honest-to-god, stiff military bow. For a second, Jaeger wondered if the guy had heatstroke.
"Thank you for showing interest in me!" Akainu barked, eyes blazing like a barbecue on max. "I won't let you down—I'll purge every last pirate from this world!"
His words sizzled with so much conviction, it was a miracle the deck didn't melt. Jaeger had seen only fans users, fanatics, and justice nuts, but never a Magma Admiral this desperate to impress.
For one surreal moment, it felt like Akainu was about to ask for an autograph.
Jaeger smiled and patted Sakazuki's rock-hard shoulder, barely resisting the urge to check if magma sizzled on contact.
"Good. I'm counting on you," he said, as if recruiting the world's deadliest hall monitor was perfectly normal.
Of course, Jaeger knew true loyalty from a guy like Sakazuki wasn't won with a single pat on the back—even if the man looked ready to fetch his slippers.
But there was no denying it: whatever nonsense he'd pulled, Akainu's "favorability" was sky-high.
As Akainu snapped to attention, Jaeger's smile twitched.
Yeah, this was getting weird even by his standards.

Miyuki Uchiha: "Hahaha! This is peak dating sim energy! Congrats, Saint Jaeger, you've unlocked Akainu's secret route. Next up: magma tsundere CG!"
Miyuki Uchiha: "Honestly, I'm just waiting for the scene where Akainu blushes and hands you a friendship bracelet—lava edition!"
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Pfft—someone, please, add sakura petals and background music for this confession scene!"
Yamamoto Mei: "Hey, don't joke about Jaeger-kun like that… Pfft—sorry, I couldn't hold it in."
Nerona Jaeger: "...…"
Veins bulged on Jaeger's forehead. This was getting out of hand…
Miyuki, keep it up and I'll remind you why Celestial Dragons have diplomatic immunity—and why pranksters mysteriously disappear from the world.
Sakazuki, noticing Jaeger's suddenly sour mood, tilted his head, concern flickering in his usually stern eyes.
"Something wrong, Saint Jaeger?"
Jaeger forced a smile, the vein on his forehead twitching. "Nothing at all. Everything's perfectly fine."
Just as Jaeger was about to dismiss Sakazuki, Stussy glided back onto the deck—draped in an elegant white-gold dress and thigh-high stockings, her allure cranked all the way up.
"Jaeger-sama~"
With a sly glint in her eye, she curled herself around Jaeger's arm like a lazy serpent claiming her favorite branch.
"So tell me…" she purred, her voice dangerously sweet, "who's stronger—you or this magma-powered Admiral Sakazuki?"
Before Jaeger could even open his mouth—
Akainu said seriously. "Of course Saint Jaeger is stronger!"
There wasn't a hint of doubt in his voice.
Just a few days ago, Sakazuki would've scoffed—maybe even started a lecture about "absolute justice" and Logia supremacy. Compare himself, an Admiral, to a Celestial Dragon? Unthinkable.
But after what he'd witnessed in Impel Down—the sky-blotting bone dragon, that suffocating, world-ending aura—he was a changed man.
This wasn't just overwhelming power.
It was authority. It was divinity.
Jaeger had slain Gol D. Roger—the Pirate King whose Conqueror's Haki had once left even Sakazuki flattened on the ground, unable to move.
Jaeger hadn't even seem fazed by that overwhelming Haki. He didn't waver. He simply killed Roger, as if it were nothing.
Was this truly a Celestial Dragon?
No…
This was a sovereign.
A true god among men.
In the Chat Group.
Miyuki Uchiha: "Ohhhh… Stussy's being bold! Femme fatale vibes! Somebody cue the dramatic music! She's got them both ready to throw hands."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Or maybe… is she lowkey jealous?"
Sakura Tohsaka:"Ehh? Jealous!?"
Esdeath: "...? Wait, jealous? Of what, exactly? Am I missing something?"
Yamamoto Mei: "Utaha, don't start corrupting everyone like Miyuki does. There's only one woman on that ship—what's there to be jealous of?"
Miyuki Uchiha: "Oh, please, you old hag—Akainu's giving Saint Jaeger the kind of look you only see in romance manga. Next thing you know, he'll be asking for a moonlit walk on the deck!"
Yamamoto Mei: "Huh? What are you even talking about?!"
Everyone leaned in closer to the stream
Akainu's face was a bizarre cocktail: awe widening his eyes, worship softening his usually stone-cold features, and a level of undying trust that looked downright suspicious.
His lips were just barely pursed, as if holding back a heartfelt confession, while a faint blush seemed to creep up past the magma glow on his cheeks.
Then again, with all that magma bubbling under his skin, who could really tell if Akainu was actually blushing or just about to erupt? Either way, the look was suspiciously soft for the Navy's strictest admiral.
[Group Chat]
Sakura Tohsaka: "Wait… is Jaeger-nii actually seducing Akainu!?"
Luo Hao: "…I support love in all forms, but that face? Sorry, even I have standards. Pass."
Yamamoto Mei: "Hard pass. If he confesses, I'm deleting the stream."
Miyuki Uchiha: "Full support! Power couple energy!! Can't wait for their matching magma-ring wedding!"
Jaeger facepalmed.
These rotten girls… This was madness.
Absolute madness.
And yet—maybe this was the perfect chance to secure Akainu's loyalty once and for all.
He glanced back at the magma admiral, who still looked like a loyal golden retriever trapped in a volcano.
Jaeger tightened his grip around Stussy's waist, lips curling into a half-smile.
"Wanna try it out?" he asked, voice calm but loaded with implication.
"Want to experience the world's strongest sword technique for yourself?"
