"Get down!"
Aria's scream cut through the night air as Marcus unlocked his car in the underground parking garage. She'd seen the red laser dot sweep across his chest half a second before the shot.
She tackled him hard. They hit the concrete as the bullet sparked off the car door where his head had been.
"What the hell..." Marcus started.
"There is a sniper. Roof level." Aria was already moving, pulling him behind the car. "Stay down."
There are two more shots. The Glass exploded above them.
Aria's training took over completely. She scanned the garage. Three vehicles positioned for ambush. This is a professional setup with multiple shooters.
This wasn't a warning; it was an execution.
"How many?" Marcus asked, his voice steady despite the situation.
"At least four. Maybe more." Aria's mind raced; she had no weapon or backup. Only her body and years of training. "When I move, you run for the stairwell. Don't look back."
"I'm not leaving you."
