Chapter 5 - Been Mining for eternity! Finally freedom!

Dressed in the woolen animal clothes, Su Han and his company followed Uncle Nine down. The elder who brought them stopped at the entrance, watching them with a satisfied smile.

'This sadistic pervert sure is enjoying this!' Su Han cursed him as he walked down along with the crowd.

The first sensation was the cold, which made him wonder whether he needed to put on the animal-woven coats and trousers.

With the current situation, Su Han was smart enough to understand that he had to endure hardships.

He had decided to work for himself in this life rather than work for others, but at the end of the day, his strength and abilities did not allow it.

Walking deeper into the mines, Su Han was finally able to see the situation clearly.

Interconnected pathways were inside this mine, with all around covered in frost.

The deeper they went, the colder it became, and he was already starting to feel that it was impossible to live long in this cold freezer.

"You will receive a blood pill daily after you submit your work. The blood pill is the only way to survive in this cold place, and those who do not meet the requirements can only wait to freeze to death." Uncle Nine spoke as he led everyone towards a tunnel to the left.

The words he just said had already allowed Su Han to understand something.

"In this place, no one is going to follow us around and ask us to work, since the mechanisms in place are enough to handle this. Take this blood pill, for instance, without it, even living for a day might be a pipe dream." He looked at Uncle Nine, leading them further lost in thought.

He discovered the order in the mines was also very strict, and this was perhaps because all of them were nothing more than mortals without much merit and couldn't make much waves.

But Su Han had a completely different thought after seeing the state of those present in the mine.

"In this hellhole, it is probably not easy to live longer, and most of those alive are probably concerned about survival rather than forming gangs." This was the first thought that crossed his mind.

This was enough to allow him to understand that his goal in this place was to survive and wait for an opportunity.

Who would have thought that this opportunity would take six years? Before he knew it, it had been 6 years since he entered this mine, and he was among the oldest people in the mine.

What he never expected was that after 6 years in the mines, he was able to adapt in such a dead place.

It has been six years, and only a few months ago did he obtain another ability from the system,, and it was also why he was calm at this moment.

Due to the ability, he has gained a lot of good things over the past years in the mine and hidden them quite well.

He has even helped Uncle Nine take in more mining slaves three times in the past three times. When it comes to the passageways inside the mine, he couldn't be more familiar.

Things are different today, as the entire mine was shaking intensely and then followed by explosions.

He didn't have to do anything; after all, he could not do much.

"This day has finally come!" Su Han listened to the destruction without much change in expression as though he had predicted all of this.

As a transmigrator, Su Han was a disgrace sitting in a mine as a slave, and he was sure that all of this was going to end today.

He was looking forward to this day, because the system might just award him another gift based on his performance.

The condition was to make sure his actions resembled a dragon that was rising as the system was called.

In these mines, though, it was difficult to have such an opportunity. His survival for 6 years in this place was an achievement, and he had initially thought he might get some life-saving skills. But after he looked at things, more than a chance to predict future events once a day.

When he thought about it seriously, he realized this was indeed a much better skill for him.

When he was lost in thought, a voice sounded to his right.

"Boss! What you asked has been completed." A burly figure with a massive frame appeared in the distance.

Turning his head, Su Han looked at the burly figure and smilled.

This was Wu Feng! He was among those slaves the Hun clan robbed from outside the clan.

He was someone that had been in this place with Su Han longest about four years.

"It seems that the time has come. Lets go." He had made a prediction and knew that the Hun clan was being attacked and even made arrangements in advance for himself.

Su Han picked up an animal skin made into a bag and threw it to the burly Wu Feng.

He then followed behind him without any rush as though he was strolling his backyard.

This was the escape route that they had set up secretly over the years.

The shaking and explosions appeared to have nothing to do with the two of them.

After walking for a while, the coldness receded, and the temperature started to rise.

Just like that, Su Han and Wu Feng finally located the exit they had set up.

This journey was just too smooth, and by the time they walked out of the cave exist, they turned their gaze towards the sky.

The usually dark sky was currently clear, as it had been ripped open.

"Interesting! This is no longer a small play. It seems that the Hun clan has finally pissed off someone." The two of them walked off just like that, turning back from time to time to see the mountain shake.

"Boss! Where are we going?" Wu Feng asked as they stopped at a small stream.

"Anywhere not in the Hun clan is okay."Su Han smilled and widely at that.

He looked into the shining sun and fresh air whipping his face feeling freedom.
