The next day, Qian Renyue and Ning Rongrong were originally planning to head to Shrek Academy to register. Ning Rongrong was quick-witted and immediately understood. Since Shrek Academy wasn't registered with the Spirit Hall, revealing the surname "Qian" together with a special Angel-type martial soul could easily lead others to connect her with Qian Daoliu. Thus, Ning Rongrong wisely didn't ask further—she simply held Qian Renyue's hand and continued on the road.
"Brother, look, there's a small village over there." Since there were outsiders present, Xiao Wu respectfully called Tang San "Brother" instead of "Little San."
Tang San looked in the direction Xiao Wu was pointing. About one li ahead, there was indeed a small village. With the sight granted by his Purple Demon Eye, he could clearly make out that it contained around a hundred households—smaller even than Holy Soul Village. A wooden fence surrounded its perimeter, likely to fend off wild beasts. At the village entrance, a crowd of people seemed to have gathered, though it was unclear what was happening.
Tang San smiled. "Let's go ask over there. Maybe the villagers know where Shrek Academy is. A soul master academy should be quite famous, after all."
Finally seeing their destination ahead, the group quickened their pace toward the village.
As they approached, everyone realized something was off. There really were many people gathered at the entrance—mostly youths around their age, many accompanied by parents.
At the entrance stood a table, and behind it sat an elderly man, around sixty years old. What stunned the group most was the wooden archway at the gate—hung with a rather shabby plaque inscribed with five simple words: Shrek Academy.
In front of those words was a green head symbol, seemingly representing some kind of humanoid monster. It looked greenish, a bit ugly—but oddly cute.
On the old man's chest hung a round green badge identical to that symbol—presumably the emblem of Shrek Academy.
