"Super Saiyan…" Vegeta's mind immediately jumped to Kakarot when Dodoria mentioned the legendary warrior.
The memory of Kakarot's devastating attack still cast a shadow over him.
Seeing Vegeta lost in thought, Dodoria pressed on.
"That's right! It's the Super Saiyan. Lord Frieza feared the Super Saiyan, which is why he destroyed the Saiyan race."
"But he valued your potential, Vegeta—that's why he kept you alive," Dodoria added.
Vegeta's eyes narrowed, colder than ever. "Really? Then I have to thank you for telling me that, Dodoria."
Dodoria swallowed nervously. "Vegeta… let's work together! We could defeat Frieza if we joined forces."
It was a desperate attempt to lower Vegeta's guard. If he relaxed, Dodoria planned to strike a fatal blow.
But Vegeta scoffed. "You? Work with me? Hah! You're not worthy."
Dodoria's fear reached its limit. "Damn it, Vegeta! Go to hell!"
Energy blasts erupted continuously from both hands, unrelenting.
Dodoria's attack lasted nearly a minute before she paused, gasping for breath.
Dodoria laughed. "Ha! Even though your power has increased, what does it matter? After receiving all these attacks, you can't be unscathed!"
he prepared to retreat, unsure if he had even injured Vegeta. Safety meant leaving immediately.
Suddenly, a voice called from behind. "Dodoria… are you an idiot? Attacking empty air for so long?"
Startled, Dodoria turned—and froze. Vegeta stood beside her, arms crossed, completely unharmed.
"Vegeta… when did you hide behind me?!" he stammered.
Vegeta smirked. "With your power increase, your speed naturally increased too." He looked at Dodoria as if she were a child.
This Dodoria is as foolish as Cui, Vegeta thought. She relied on brute force alone… nothing to fear.
Dodoria's face darkened.
"This…!" he surged forward, trying to escape. "If I fly at full speed, I'll lose you, Vegeta. Once I return to Frieza, I'll be safe."
Before he could travel even 500 meters, Vegeta caught up.
Dodoria skidded to a halt. "Vegeta… how are you so fast?!"
"I don't have time for this," Vegeta said, punching her squarely in the stomach.
The blow sent Dodoria foaming at the mouth, him eyes nearly popping out.
Vegeta followed with a kick that slammed her to the ground.
He landed, walking toward her slowly. "Dodoria… I'll send Frieza to hell, and you'll meet him soon."
"Don't… don't kill me, Vegeta! I'll help you defeat Frieza! Please… spare me!" Dodoria pleaded, terrified.
Vegeta ignored her. With a concentrated punch, he drove his fist through his body.
Energy surged outward, and Dodoria was obliterated.
Vegeta looked at the dust she left behind. "Still trying to join me? Foolish. You don't understand life or death."
"Zarbon is still with Frieza. Dealing with him will require a longer plan," Vegeta muttered. "If Frieza shows himself, I'll have to hide… no holding back."
Meanwhile, aboard Frieza's spaceship:
Without a detector, Frieza didn't know the situation. But Zarbon, monitoring the sensors, reported.
"Lord Frieza… Dodoria's energy signature has vanished, but Vegeta's is still active."
Frieza's rage flared. His capable subordinate had been killed, and Vegeta's secretive maneuvers infuriated him.
"How dare he oppose me?" Frieza growled. "Zarbon, go bring Vegeta back. Use whatever means necessary!"
"Yes, Lord Frieza," Zarbon replied and sped off.
Frieza poured a glass of red liquid, drank, and laughed coldly.
"Vegeta… you really think a slight increase in power allows you to challenge me? Foolish."
Zarbon, flying at top speed, muttered under his breath, "To catch Vegeta, I might have to transform… otherwise, there's no way I can catch him."
