Zarbon chased Vegeta at full speed, muttering in confusion, "Strange… Vegeta's energy signature disappeared? Where did he go?"
"It won't be easy to find him if we keep searching like this. We might fail the mission Frieza assigned us," Zarbon thought.
Unbeknownst to him, Vegeta had already noticed Zarbon.
Sitting in a cave, Vegeta smirked. "Zarbon has left Frieza's side too? The god must be on my side, hehe!"
He rose excitedly. A chance to strike Zarbon away from Frieza had finally appeared.
If Zarbon could be eliminated, only Frieza would remain.
And with the Dragon Balls, Vegeta could finally plot to kill Frieza at his leisure.
"Haha! Zarbon… you're dead," Vegeta muttered, surging forward in pursuit.
Zarbon's detector reacted immediately.
"Vegeta's energy signature… it's approaching! Well, that saves me the trouble of finding him. If he falls into my trap… don't blame me!"
Zarbon turned and sped toward Vegeta. Both warriors hurtled toward each other, set to collide.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Piccolo and the others ran cautiously, keeping their breathing low.
Tien Shinhan observed seriously, "It seems Vegeta is having a conflict with his own companions."
Yamcha grinned. "Perfect! Let the enemies fight each other. That works in our favor."
Krillin frowned. "But there's still a dangerous enemy… a terrifying presence, as fearsome as a demon."
"Yes!" Dende confirmed.
Gohan looked at Piccolo for reassurance.
Piccolo remained calm. "No matter what, we must reach the Great Elder first. As for the enemy… don't worry. We're not weak."
His confidence stemmed from rigorous training on the way to Namek.
Piccolo had endured one hundred times Earth gravity, vastly increasing his strength.
Only Tien could manage fifteen times gravity, while the others trained at ten.
Piccolo's adaptation to one hundred times gravity demonstrated his extraordinary baseline power.
Krillin added with a smile, "We also have Goku. He'll come to Namek when the time is right. We don't have to worry too much."
Back to Vegeta and Zarbon:
The two finally collided. Vegeta smirked. "Zarbon… long time no see. I've already sent Dodoria to Hell. Isn't it time for you to join him?"
Zarbon replied firmly, "You're confident, Vegeta. Has your power increased so much that you've grown arrogant?"
Vegeta was slightly taken aback—he hadn't expected Zarbon to be so stubborn.
"We'll see how tough you really are," he said, disappearing instantly before Zarbon's eyes.
"So fast!" Zarbon gasped, unable to track Vegeta's movement.
Vegeta's power had risen to 27,000, surpassing Zarbon's 24,000 from before. In his normal state, Zarbon had only 23,000.
"Behind you!" Vegeta's voice sounded from behind Zarbon.
Before Zarbon could react, Vegeta's kick sent him crashing into the ground.
Vegeta landed, his presence radiating disdain. "Pathetic… is that all you've got, Zarbon?"
Zarbon struggled to rise. "Vegeta… your strength has increased dramatically, but do you think you can defeat me?"
Vegeta frowned. Zarbon's stubbornness was courting death.
Zarbon leaped into the air, gathering energy in his palm.
A massive shockwave surged toward Vegeta, who raised his hand to deflect it effortlessly.
Seeing his attacks barely touch Vegeta, Zarbon realized he couldn't compete in his normal state.
He had no choice but to transform.
Vegeta flew above him, kicking him away again. "This boring game ends here, Zarbon. Prepare to die!"
Zarbon rose with a confident smile.
"Vegeta… do you really think you can win? I'll tell you the truth. Frieza and I both have the ability to transform."
"Our transformation isn't like your Saiyan form—it simply multiplies our power."
Vegeta's eyes narrowed. Zarbon's revelation was serious. Facing Frieza soon, this information was critical.
Still, Vegeta was confident. Even if Zarbon transformed, his power wouldn't surpass Vegeta's… not yet.
