Cell's tail shot out like a violent suction, ensnaring Android 17.
No one had expected such audacity. Right under their eyes, Cell dared to make such a bold move.
Piccolo fully recovered and immediately charged toward Cell. No. 16 followed without hesitation.
They knew that if Cell successfully absorbed 17, their chances of defeating him would drop to nearly zero.
Together, Piccolo and 16 managed to knock Cell several hundred meters away.
Yet Cell's absorption of 17 continued, his aura surging dramatically with every passing second.
Piccolo's eyes widened. "This… is serious. If Goku doesn't show up, we could be finished."
At that moment, Vegeta arrived on the battlefield.
His eyes widened as he sensed Cell's rapidly growing power. "How… how can one being reach such a level? Who is he?"
"Vegeta, that's Cell. Prepare yourself," Piccolo warned.
Vegeta gritted his teeth, feeling the immense pressure from Cell's aura. "Cell, huh…? I don't even know if I can take him."
As Cell completed his absorption, he opened his eyes slowly, staring at his own hands with a mixture of awe and excitement.
"Perfect… this power… now, with 18's energy, I can finally reach my complete form!"
Piccolo shouted urgently, "No. 16! Take 18 and retreat immediately! Don't waste a second. I'll hold Cell back!"
"Understood!" No. 16 said decisively. Without hesitation, he scooped up 18 and shot off, leaving the battlefield.
The safest option was to remove 18 from Cell's grasp entirely.
Cell's face darkened at the sight. "You think you can escape? Don't be foolish."
He surged forward, intent on chasing them.
But Piccolo appeared in his path, blocking his advance.
One by one, the other Z Fighters joined to stand in Cell's way.
"You're all dead! You've pissed me off!" Cell growled. Killing these nuisances would delay his pursuit of 18—but he didn't think she could escape his grasp for long.
"Cell! You're not passing through!" Piccolo roared, charging at him.
Cell barely looked at Piccolo, confident in his strength.
The two collided violently, and Piccolo was sent flying back with bone-shaking force.
"Piccolo… claiming to be the strongest Namekian, yet you're only half-baked," Cell sneered dismissively.
Piccolo spat blood from the corner of his mouth, wiping it away.
"Damn… so arrogant." He now had a clear understanding of Cell's power—it was extreme.
Defeating him would require strategy, not brute strength.
Cell had no interest in these fighters. To him, they were just distractions. Turning his focus, he shot after No. 16 and 18.
Less than two hundred meters into the chase, Vegeta intercepted him.
Cell's voice rang out coldly. "Vegeta… I advise you not to interfere. Otherwise, I won't hold back."
Vegeta didn't waste words. He transformed into the Second Form of Super Saiyan, his muscles swelling, energy surging.
Unaware, Vegeta had evolved in the wrong direction. He unleashed everything he had—but Cell easily dodged every strike.
"Impossible… how is he so fast?!" Vegeta exclaimed, disbelief on his face.
Cell smirked. "Not bad, Vegeta. Matching even 16's strength is impressive. But you're still too weak! Leave now!"
In an instant, Cell struck, sending Vegeta crashing across the battlefield.
Vegeta rolled to his feet. He was the Saiyan Prince—he would never stay down.
Yet both he and Piccolo realized they didn't have enough strength to stop Cell. Frustration boiled within them.
Cell glanced at them with disdain and ignored their attacks, continuing his pursuit of 18.
But things wouldn't go entirely smoothly.
One by one, the remaining Z Fighters leapt forward, preparing to launch a coordinated surprise attack on Cell.
The tension was at its peak.
Cell's first evolution had made him terrifyingly powerful—but the Z Fighters weren't ready to let him run unchecked.
