Roman's mind flashed back to his childhood, the memories long buried rising to the surface. He remembered the voice, the presence that had insinuated itself into his mind, whispering dark secrets and fueling his ambition.
"You are the first child," the voice had whispered. "You are the rightful heir, not your younger sister or brother."
The words had taken root in Roman's mind, growing into a toxic seed of resentment and jealousy. He had become consumed by the desire to claim what he felt was his birthright.
As the voice's influence grew stronger, Roman's actions became more erratic. He had trapped his sister and sacrificed his younger brother to the Khragixx, that promised him power and dominance.
The ritual had been a twisted success. The Khragixx had gifted Roman with the power to summon demons, and he had reveled in the darkness that flowed through him.
But when Roman had turned to his brother, Aaron, hoping to share his newfound power and draw him into his plans, Aaron had fled in terror. The rejection had cut deep, and the Khragixx had sensed Roman's anger and hurt.
Since then, the voice in Roman's head had grown stronger, manipulating him, playing on his deepest fears and desires. It had become a constant presence, urging him to free it from its prison, to kill his traitorous siblings, and to claim the world as his own.
Roman's eyes snapped back into reality, and he smiled, the voice's words echoing in his mind. "You will be the one to free me," it whispered. "You will be the one to bring about a new era of darkness."
The ritual was about to start. Soon, the Khragixx would be free, and Roman would be its instrument of destruction.
Roman's eyes gleamed with anticipation as he walked through the dark forest, the trees looming above him like skeletal fingers. He could sense the aftermath of the battle, the stench of death and decay hanging heavy in the air.
As he emerged into the clearing, he was met with a scene of carnage. The fae warriors lay scattered, their bodies broken and battered. The demons, still in the area, turned to face him, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.
Roman's smile grew wider as he surveyed the battlefield. The fae warriors had been dealt with, and his plan was moving forward without a hitch. He walked among the bodies, his footsteps quiet on the blood-soaked earth.
"Excellent work," he said, his voice dripping with approval. "The ritual can proceed without interruption."
The demons parted, revealing the ritual site in the distance. The Vivere crystals pulsed with dark energy, and the fae captives cowered in fear. Roman's eyes locked onto the crystals, his mind racing with the possibilities.
The ritual was starting. Soon, the Khragixx would be free, and Roman would be its master. The thought sent a shiver down his spine, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. Only if he knew what he was getting himself into.
The young fae, her wings beating fiercely as she soared through the sky, her small frame trembling with exhaustion and fear. She had witnessed the slaughter of her kin, and the memory of the carnage would haunt her forever.
As she flew towards the fae kingdom, she could see the shimmering spires and towers rising above the trees.
She flew faster, her heart pounding with urgency. She had to warn them, had to tell them about the ritual and the demons.
She landed hard on the crystal steps of the palace, her wings fluttering wildly as she struggled to catch her breath. The guards rushed to her side, concern etched on their faces.
"What is it?" one of them asked, grasping her shoulders. "What happened?"
The young fae took a deep breath, her words tumbling out in a rush.
"The ritual... they're going to summon something... demons...the…..the….prince….Roman... he's behind it all."
The guards exchanged worried glances, their faces grim. They knew the ritual, knew the danger it posed.
They hurried her to the council room to inform the others about what she saw.
"Prince Aaron is coming soon,we have to wait for him to give orders" one of the elders said "Why would Prince Roman want to release the Khragixx"another one said "Maybe because he was banished for killing his brother a royal blood,"an elder said.
