The moment that the Blazing like fireball was almost upon me, i too have finished writing the one line i remembered from my previous vision, i saw the other 15 lines, but it was as if they in front of me but yet very far from me, a bizarre feeling of complexity washed over me the moment i tried to take a look at those which were written or those that were being written .
This line was the only one that i can seem to successfully able to recall and comprehend the incantation behind it, but there was one problem, i had no idea of what it does or that what when i first start inscribing the glyphs in front of me, but at every piece of the incantation that left my mouth, the second after i finished writing all the glyphs, i felt as if i gained enlightenment to what my First Tire Dark Art do .
At this realization, i looked at the thin katana in my hand and smiled and as if it nodding in agreement with me, the bloody edge glistened lightly in response .
I looked back at the glyphs that were currently swirling in the air in front of me and with a flick of my finger a green sigils appeared and they expanded until they covered both me and my opponent .
All the onlookers were stunned at this suddenly happening, but i was in no mind to pay them much attention, i snapped my fingers in a drastic manner and the Blazing flames that were coming towards me vanished as if it never existed and it actually never did .
Then the green sigils like walls seeing that their work here was done, they began to dissipate into dark like particles without a sound, but their silent dissipation add more silent to the current deathly silent scene .
Kamekichi-senpai arrogant expression was still on his face, but his face was completely losing color out of pure shock, his eyes was staring at me in a complete disbelief, his facial expression as if finally catching up with his thoughts, began to stare at me with wide eyes and widely opened mouth .
" So what now senpai want to try again, i don't want to quench that fiery enthusiasm of yours, but i'm not really a smoker, so you don't have to to bother yourself with it .
I said amusingly, trying to taunt him with my words, i seem to be really enjoying this, i don't when my mouth curved into a smile, but i was genuinely happy about everything that took place, not about the taunting, but i am not going to lie, it felt good to finally able to deliver a punch of my own, all in all i felt happiness wash over me like waves, washing my heavy bloodthirsty intent away .
And why wouldn't i be, i successfully cast my first Dark Art for the first time and its results were something very gratifying to me, even though there were more effects to it than just this, but i felt more than satisfied with how everything was going through .
Our exchange didn't even take more than 3 seconds, but the results were clear to all but the opponent in front of me, as i looked at him i found that he was lowering his head, i thought he was ashamed at first, but then he raised his head up and his eyes were shining with the brilliance of clarity as he said one word as he smiled and posed in a victory pose, he said :
Illusion .
" Huh " .
That was all that i was able to say in response to what he just said, i thought that i was the one who heard wrong, but what i didn't believe to have heard was then confirmed as he continued to say :
Seecaptain, didn't i say he was a shady guy, unsuitable for the Strikers, he even went as far as to use an illusion to try and trick me, but i caught his trick, he should have not thought that i'm that easy to be fooled, he underestimated me and i will have him pay dearly for that, please give me your permission to struck him with my sword of justice .
I almost facepalmed myself at what he said, once again i felt my awareness of how our world worked was challenged, i thought that everything in life had a certain limit to it, but Kamekichi-senpai's idiocy came to challenge that belief of mine and it was quite darely too, for some reason i felt that i was beginning to both pity him and respect him for his unique way of thinking in some weird fashion, the guy in front of me was someone really special .
Weird, was the room always this dark, i recall it was bright before, another realization hit me, one that i was finally able to notice, i was engulfed in Mana, that Mana was the thing responsible for the current dark theme that assaulted the room, the reson for that was that currently my Mana was like an incarnation of darkness itself .
If i were to compare between senpai's Mana and mine, i would say that his Mana had a tint of darkness, but mine was completely pitch black .
My Mana was so dark that it began to absorb the light in the room, tainting it with blackness bit by bit, the room was at the point of being dimly lit .
[ P.s ( I'm not saying blackness is bad or anything, i'm just trying to give an impression of what the scene looked like, please don't cancel me ) ] .
I stopped agitating my Mana in a hurry and the place become magically like brightly lit once again .
Seeing that my idiot of an opponent was looking at the captain asking for permission to use his sword of justice, i really hope to delete that sentence and his expression when he said it from my mind, i had sometime to look at the faces of the other members to see how they were reacting to all of which had happened and was happening .
I finally looked at the people that were witnessing our battle and saw that all of them had their mouth wide opened, with the only exception being the captain, but that didn't mean he wasn't stunned or surprised like the rest, his face looked shocked, but he was able to regain his composure must faster than the others .
The words that Kamekichi-senpai spoke also acted as a wake up call to him and most of the people around, their reaction was almost close to mine, they just looked at Kamekichi up and down for a few seconds, then some just couldn't help themselves and they directly burst out laughing, but the special Kamekichi senpai thought not much of it and at most he thought that they were laughing with him or maybe cheering for him and not at him and his ridiculous words .
I was able to reach that conclusion due to the haughty expression the said guy had on his face, his nose was perking up almost reaching the skies, and he made a weird expression of content on his face and he raised both his hands as if asking for more .
Seeing him like this made those who laughed at him before, now beginning to die of laughter and those who didn't laugh before, now were unable to help joining the other guys in laughter, but weirdly enough all this seemed to fire the spirit of the special Kamekichi senpai up even more to the point that made me think he was going to transform or something .
The only exception to the laughter was once again the stern Captain, he arched one of his eyebrows at the yelling voice of Kamekichi-senpai, from the far distance between the two and due to Kamekichi-senpai body being currently shaking, the actions of the Captain seemed to say " go ahead and do it our mighty Kamekichi", at least that what i currently pictured going through the mind of the special senpai's in front of me .
He turned to look at me with " i know what is your trick " kinds look and he began saying :
Your illusion will no longer work on me, he was saying this repeatedly while moving his hands around randomly as if he was casting a spell or maybe trying to hypnosis me or something, any how, he ended his monologue with a last sentence before getting back to a fighting stance, he said :
I will show all my friends and senpais today, how powerful the great Kamekichi can be .
Seeing him all serious, i first removed my smirk and gave him another point of respect, but at the end of his words i added 10 points of pity to him in my mind without any hesitation, great Kamekichi, heeeh .
I then got back into a fighting stance, but mine was a lot more relaxed than his, i wondered what he was going to throw at me, when he suddenly raised his hand and began Writing :
Flames become equal, burning good, evil, chaos and everything to exhaustion. A purifying, intense mercy > .
Blaaze .
His body once again lit up and he also used the same Dark Art that he used before, the glyphs in front of him swirled then blazing flames began to appear as if summoned once again to finish off the enemies of the one who summoned them .
I sighed and began to inscribe my own dark art Paradox, the only one that i currently knew, but just as i began writing the first sentence and my vision completely filled with the Blazing flames that were coming at me, i heard the senpai loud voice saying :
< Fire discriminates not against good nor evil as it burns and purifies with ferocious mercy > .
Flame .
Another dark art was suddenly fired at me from behind the raging flames that were coming towards me, but Flame was heading towards me faster than Blaze, i felt the threat of being injured, but suddenly without even batting an eye, i continued to WRITE my dark art, as if disregarding of the imminent threat completely .
The only thought that was currently in my mind, was continue Writing and i did in a manner even faster than before, * Writing :
<< BY THE SANDS OF ETERNITY, I COMMAND THE FLOW, IN THE NAME OF THE TIMELESS, I INVOKE THE SHIFT, TEN SECONDS BACKWARD OR FORWARD, SWIFT AND SWIFT >> .
PARADOX .
The green sigils once more appeard and i once again snapped my fingers and the two Spells in front of me went out without even a smoke, the snap wasn't needed but added more a dramatic effect, then wanting to start my attack, i once again snapped my fingers but this time i used another effect of Paradox to directly appeard in front of my senpai who was already dead before i even touch him .
As i appeared instantly in front of Kamekichi-senpai, i found him curling around himself and actually snoring, he fell asleep mid fight, where the great Kamekichi went then .
The dark art once again dissipated and then the captain seeing the current scene took a bit of time to regain his clarity before declaring me as a winner and asked someone to as per his words "taketheidiot who overworked his Mana to the school infirmary and have him rest his mind a bit " .
He looked to be angry, but i sensed that he was actually more worried than angered about the state Kamekichi-senpai was in, he then came and stood in front of me and just as he was about to say something, another voice suddenly interrupted what he was going to say, he appeared to be a bit frustrated, i attributed his current frustration to the fact that this was like the 3rd time he got interrupted like this in the last couple of hours, something that didn't sit well with him .
Principal : What just happened ? .
The one who raised this question was none other than our beautiful principal, who finally arrived at the Training Arena, the cute like elf little girl was walking beside her as well, both currently had a shocked look on their faces, seeing Kamekichi being escorted to the infirmary perhaps bewildered them a bit .
The Strikers seeing the Principal appearing from the tunnel, they all bowed in greeting and welcomed her, some out of protocol, but some were doing it more sincerely than others and the majority of the Strikers were those who bowed sincerely, the Captain merely nodded but this wasn't out of disrespect, but more likely a privilege he had as a captain .
I also bowed mimicking the others action, she nodded her head at us and then looked at me and the captain in the distance and motioned for us to come forward .
As i came to stand side by side with the Strikers, i was able to sense a lot of gazes on me from the other Saviors around me, but the most intense one belonged to the girl who i had two weird encounter with, she was glaring with a frowning face before, but this time her gaze as she looked at me with full of fighting intent .
The others gazes were varying, some were looking at me in awe, some were bewildered about how fast the battle had ended, some were stealing weird glances at me, one girl with glasses was staring at me curiously, before she was nudged by a boy next to her, some were wary of me and some didn't care much, the majority of the Saviors were the latter .
The principal then asked once again about what took place here, the Captain ordered the other Saviors to back away all but me, then he began asking the principal when she appeared and what she saw from the fight .
The principal said that she arrived exactly the moment that i appeared in front of the knocked out Kamekichi and again worryingly asked what happened .
I found myself involuntarily looking at the captain and saw that he was coincidentally looking at me as well, we both were thinking of the exact same thing, a misunderstanding that was all, the principal witnessing me with a sword standing in front of an unconscious opponent had already played a made up scenario in her mind, one that was completely irrelevant to what actually happened, the Captain was the one who corrected this misunderstanding, first by telling her that she had the wrong assumption .
Then he then began to report what actually happened to the principal, she first apologized for her wrong assumption, then after we both told her that there were no problem, the subject conversation then turned back to me and the dark art that i just used and what with my sword and also what was that huge outburst of explosive speed at the end of the fight, those questions and many more mostly came from the Captain's side .
My head was beginning to hurt just by listening to the amount of questions that i was being asked, luckily the kind-hearted principal seemed to have taken a notice of this and came to my rescue, asking the Captain to hold his questions off for a bit .
Increasing the number of him getting interrupted to 4 times and with a bit of frustration he agreed to hold on asking questions for a bit .
I thought that i will get some time to think everything that just happened through, but i was then surprised by a nudge to my waist, i looked down to see that Maya as the principle called her was trying to tell me something, i crouched a little and found that she didn't want to tell me something, but she actually wanted to ask me something .
She said :
What kind of spell did Ryuu-san use, please tell me, desuu .
" Its name is Paradox as what kind i'm not sure myself .
Is it related to any particular attribute ? .
" I believe it is a Time attribute related spell .
All the people present :
HUH ?!!! .
