"You're not suggesting I remove my trunks as well, right?" Nach said, throwing a smug grin at Shido, who was sitting in the back seat of the bus.
"That would be too indecent for a teacher—for both you and me."
—"Pfft!"—
Giggling came from the girls, including Rei, Saeko, and Saya, who understood what Nach was teasing about. Even Hisashi, Kohta, and Imamura couldn't help but grin.
—You're already indecent enough with that massive bulge.—
Irritated glares came from a few of the boys, including Shido and Takashi, who had just awakened, his face still half-swollen from Nach's punch.
But among the mixed reactions, one particularly stood out:
"Please take it off."
That bold, indecent remark—said in such a lustful tone and erotic voice, paired with an almost intoxicated expression—came from Miku Yuuki, who was sitting beside Shido.
It surprised everyone, leaving many flustered or embarrassed. But for Nach, he was actually expecting it, considering Miku's character, who was written as the most erotic girl in the school and shown to be very indecent during the orgy scene on the bus in the original plot.
She's a character who would obviously react indecently upon seeing Nach's massive erection—which was, of course, mostly because of her.
"What if you had been bitten in there?"
Miku's argument sounded like a dumb excuse to see Nach completely naked—which was exactly what it was—and it only made the other girls, and even the boys, more embarrassed. However, what made the situation completely awkward was yet another remark from Shido.
"You wouldn't mind, would you?"
—"Ehh?"—
—"Huh?"—
Oi, oi, oi… What's with this sudden development? Why is this bastard suddenly being so cooperative? Is Shido's character actually gay? Is this lazy, lousy new plot taking a turn in the BL direction? Ah, no...
Seeing Shido's scheming grin made Nach discard all his playful thoughts.
Shido had forced Nach to take off his clothes to prove he wasn't bitten by the undead.
Of course he wasn't, but even Nach understood what Shido was trying to do. He was going to accuse him at the slightest wound. Unfortunately for Shido, Nach didn't have any injuries—not even a scratch on his body.
So he's just getting desperate, Nach thought, realizing that now that Shido's plan to accuse him had failed, he was trying to ruin his image as a teacher and make him look like a complete degenerate pervert to all the students—which was exactly what Nach was.
"If Pervert-sensei got bitten there, you'd see him bleeding," Saya said, pointing at Nach's white trunks that had miraculously remained clean of blood despite all his encounters with the undead. However, her remark earned her teasing grins from Saeko, Kohta, and especially Nach.
"Thank you for defending me, and for saving me earlier, Saya," Nach said, patting Saya on the head.
"I didn't! And I said not to touch me again!"
Right then—BAMM!—the original plot of Highschool of the Dead continued with Shizuka overrunning an undead as the bus passed a convenience store.
---
Shizuka's group was seated and crammed at the front side of the bus. Shido's group, meanwhile, was at the rear. Nach stood in the middle, getting dressed after proving he didn't have any bite marks on his body.
"Why do we have to go with those idiots?!" shouted one of the delinquent boys from Shido's group, Tsunoda.
"They decided to go to the city without considering us! Why can't we just go to the dorms or find some place at school to hide!?"
While Tsunoda continued his idiotic argument, Shizuka abruptly stepped on the brake, stopping the bus before it crashed into a speeding car.
"That was dangerous!" shouted the car's driver, who had also come to a sudden stop.
"Fuc..." He was about to curse the sexually attractive, well-endowed woman driving the bus—only to freeze upon seeing a large, muscular blond man standing behind her, throwing a murderous glare at him.
"Just fuck that woman all you want, bastard," he grumbled before driving away.
"Please try to relax while driving, Shizuka."
"I'm a little too tense to drive normally right now."
Of course she would be.
It wasn't just because of their encounter with the undead at the school, but also from seeing all the destruction and chaos they had passed during their escape toward the city and Saya's household.
Regardless, Nach needed Shizuka to calm down or she might crash the bus—not to mention she was already falling behind Kyoko, Takuzo, and Takayama due to her slow, tense driving.
"If this will help you calm down..." Nach said, placing his hands on Shizuka's shoulders to give her a light massage—which slightly tickled her, her large breasts bouncing as she laughed—before leaning down and whispering into her ear. "...You'll have your chance to see it later."
"Stop it, Nach..." Shizuka retorted, though her flustered face and next words contradicted her. "Not in front of the students..."
While Nach and Shizuka flirted, Tsunoda continued with his idiotic argument. However, unlike in the original story, he wasn't lashing out at Takashi but instead at Saya.
"I'm not inclined to take you idiots to my Mama and Papa's mansion either. So you're free to get off the bus if you want."
"You spoiled bitch!!"
With the argument heating up and Tsunoda about to raise his hand against Saya, even Kohta, Hisashi, and Saeko stood up to defend her—and partly to stop Nach, who was already glaring at Tsunoda.
"The fuck do you all want?! You wanna fight—GUH!"
There it is… another panty shot of Rei… I mean Rei beating Tsunoda, Nach thought, watching the scene and seeing Rei's panty shot through the READER'S VIEWPOINT.
"AGH—UGH!"
"You're an asshole," Rei said, glaring down at Tsunoda as she gripped her makeshift spear, ready to hit him again.
While Tsunoda squirmed on the floor in pain and vomited from the blow Rei had landed straight to his gut, Shido finally stepped in—seizing the chance to take control of the chaos he had allowed to brew among the students.
"What a sight!" he exclaimed, clapping his hands as he stood and approached Rei with a confident, scheming smile.
"Miyamoto-san, everyone, it's wonderful to see such excellent teamwork. However, I think this is proof that we need a leader. A leader just for us!!"
"And let me guess—there's only one candidate for the job," Saya interrupted, annoyed at Shido's scheme that was already painfully obvious.
"I'm a teacher, Takagi-san—the most competent one—and you're all students. I'm the only one qualified."
Cutting off Shido's nonsense as his group cheered for him to be their leader, Nach stepped aside, giving way for Rei, who rushed toward Shizuka.
"Sensei, please open the door! I'm getting out of here!"
"Huh? But, um—"
With Shizuka stopping the bus to respond—and attempt to refuse—
"I'm leaving!"
Rei saw a chance to escape through the passenger door beside Shizuka.
"Rei!" Hisashi shouted, trying to stop her—only for Rei to shout back.
"No! No way in hell am I going to travel with that bastard!"
"If she doesn't want to go together, then she's just a lost cause..." Shido said, flashing a victorious grin that only angered Rei further, and even Hisashi.
"How can you even say that!?"
As Nach expected, it was Hisashi's role to stop Rei instead of Takashi.
At this point in the original plot, Rei and Takashi—now Hisashi—would be separated from the rest of the cast. Nach planned to follow them to ensure their survival with all the changes happening—especially the appearance of aggressive undead.
However, what he didn't expect...
"I know how much you hated him, but it's only until we get to the city—"
"If she wants to get out there and die, then let her do what she wants!"
"Huh!?" What the heck was that!?
Although Nach managed to keep the complaint in his thoughts, his surprised, annoyed expression—directed at Takashi, who grabbed Hisashi's hand to stop him from going after Rei—might as well have been shouted, since his outburst caused everyone else to look at him.
What kind of plot development is this, MC? Why are you stopping Hisashi as if you're more concerned for his safety than Rei's? Is this BL? Are you getting back at Rei by stealing Hisashi from her? Is this some kind of reverse psychology?Or
it's just your insecurity flaring up again? Is that why you're dragging Hisashi to the dark side...?
While Nach pondered such random thoughts, and while Takashi refused to let go of Hisashi, the speeding bus full of undead that was supposed to separate Rei and Takashi in the original story finally arrived. But this time, it wasn't going to hit a parked car and crash between Rei and the bus.
It was going to hit and run over Rei.
If this is how it's supposed to go, then fine!
Nach rushed out through the passenger door and leaped toward Rei, grabbing her as he dove onto the street to dodge the incoming bus.
The bus—with its driver already devoured by the undead—crashed into the side of the street, erupting into flames as its fuel ignited. And within the blazing fire blocking the path back to the bus, the undead passengers rose.
"Sensei! Are you all right?!" Saeko shouted, stepping out of the bus intending to help—but was blocked by the burning undead.
"Don't worry about us, Saeko! We'll find a way to catch up!" Nach shouted back, signaling Saeko to return inside and waving to Shizuka, directing her toward a different route.
Althought they both want to save Nach and Rei, Saeko and Shizuka understood that staying would only endanger everyone—not just from the undead but also from the spreading flames.
"Nurse Marikawa! We can't continue this way!"
"I know! I'll take us a different route, everyone!"
"No! We're not leaving without Rei!"
"Just have that foreigner pervert look after her!"
Shizuka put the bus in reverse, then drove off despite Hisashi's refusal and Takashi arguing with him.
With the bus gone, Nach carried Rei over his shoulder and ran away from the flames and the undead.
"We need to hurry, Rei."
"Wait, Sensei... I can run on my own!"
