Soon the sun rose, according to my internal clock at least, and I just hoped it wasn't cloudy, before I got out, I spammed my scan like 20 times and didn't pick up anything.
Once leaving the house, it was indeed sunny, sighing I went back to the bunker.
Approaching the bunker, I messaged one of the guys to open it, which they did after confirming that it was clear to do so.
Once the bunker door opened, I was met by none other than Khan Doorman himself.
I nodded at the man, not really respecting him, but I couldn't deny his achievements now could I?
I dropped the box on the ground, the door closing behind me, and pulled out the hand I stole from V.
Gasps rang out, fear and awe mixing into something dangerous.
I just picked up my stuff, saying that "I had a stressful night" and walked off. Both the 2nd and 3rd doors opening. Returning to my room, I checked on my messages, and "damn, the teacher actually can spam a bit", I looked over the twenty or so messages, telling me to come to class today.
I sighed, clearly not going to have any sleep, and walked to class.
I hadn't even noticed how my cloak was torn up in several places, where the murder drone missed me by millimeters, nor did I notice the holes from barely missed or dodged bullets.
Getting to class, I already had my visor darkened, my optics looking straight like a man crawled out of hell. (it felt like it), And I went towards the teacher.
Who looked actually upset. "Why was I required to attend today?" I asked the teacher, ignoring all of my classmates looking at my battered form.
The teacher gave me his usual stare and answered, "Did you record what happened yesterday?" I frowned, "Sir, I record everything"
I answered in a monotone,' If he wants to play this game, I'll play this game! " Clearly, I hadn't realized I stepped into a trap, my human brain fully exhausted by the night's events, which didn't help that I actually couldn't sleep when I was in the basement.
The teacher nodded, and he turned back to the class.
Then started speaking. "Today we will be watching something that happened to tenno here" He pointed at me at the end. I sighed, connected to the projector, went to my own seat, and started playing the video. 'I'm fucked' I realized.
Gasps and murmurs rang out as I was seen running through the snow (thank God I cut some of the video). Obviously, the kids were shocked that I was even outside. Then, I turned my head in the video, and the murder drone, V, came into view.
Actual cries of fear rang out, as multiple of the kids present recoiled, recognizing the figure as the same one that attacked the bunker.
There are a few more moments before the video cuts before the final confrontation.
Multiple digital brows raised, to which I refused to answer. Then the teacher started the lecture, seemingly mad, for what seemed like the first time in ages.
Nearing the end he finished his speech, looking directly at me.
"And that's why people shouldn't mess with the murder drones, or go outside when it's cloudy for that matter."
I actually got annoyed that they think I could have died, hell, I could have killed that murder drone if I felt like it.
"I won, though." Head turned, brows raised.
"I'm literally sitting right here. What do you think? It just randomly let me escape?"
My own optics were met by hollowed ones, I really couldn't care though, I was fucking tired.
I pulled out V's hand from an inside pocket of my coat. "Here is the proof".
Gasps, murmurs, and some giggles erupted (the fuck?), then I stood up.
Looking straight at the teacher, I continued.
"Look, I appreciate the concern, I really do, but I had the whole situation under control from the start." I picked up the hand again, putting it out of view, as I heard a few sobs.
And then, of course, the question hit most of the younger drones.
"Did you kill it?"
"Yeah did you kill it?"
Multiple voices shouted out the same question, some perhaps more sadistic than others.
"No, no I did not"
Actuall, shouts and screams of anger hit me, which were shouted the same second I said it.
And finally, having had enough of this bullshit, my human brain already feeling like it was bleeding.
I left the classroom, meeting optics with Joseph, who sat calmly. We just exchanged nods and I left.
As soon as I got close to my own hab, I saw several WDF(soldiers?) Or whatever they were called, standing next to my door, banging on it like idiots.
"I'm right here," I said in a bland voice.
Heads turned to confirm that I was, in fact, not in my room. I looked at my door, which was dented in, and it looked like it would fall off any second.
"You will be replacing that".
I didn't even ask it, just stated it.
A person nodded, that person being none other than Khan himself.
"Yeah, we will, it's a door after all!"
Noticing my bland stare, he coughed and continued.
"We were here for the murder drone's arm and to talk to you about your visits to the outside".
I just stared at them, "bruh" was the only thing I could manage to say, because honestly fuck my life.
"Can this be resolved at a later time? I haven't had a recharge in like forever and I'm about to collapse". Everyone just stared, as with those words, I actually collapsed.
After an unknown amount of time later(internal clock says it's been 12 hours), I got up, exiting from sleep mode, and I was greeted by two WDF members, one on each side of the door.
I was barely given enough time to groan when Khan himself entered the room.
"Alright! Since you are Awake now, first we would like you to give us the arm of the murder drone".
It was not a question, but I pretended to think it over
"And if I say no?" Khan looked at me, seemingly serious for the first time, when not involving doors.
"Sorry, but you are forced to" I nodded.
"Can I at least get something for it?" Khan turned to the guards, and the guards themselves just shrugged.
"Alright, what do you want?"
I pretended to think again.
"I want out of school, as in I graduated and as much matter printer requisitions as possible"
The guards and Khan just stared at me like I had grown a second head.
"We can't get you out of school early"
I actually stared at him, dumbfounded.
"Then I want more requisitions, in its place"
Then a sudden idea struck me.
"And I want to be allowed to go outside, if the conditions allow it".
Khan seemed to actually think about it.
"15 requisitions and you are allowed to go outside, within reasonable time and weather conditions"
I nodded, pulling the hand out of my inner coat pocket(how did they not find it?), and just gave it to them.
"Please do make sure it's sealed away, surrounded by acid or something, because they can regenerate".
Khan just nodded, seemingly knowing that already.
And so I was left alone, and I just decided to say "fuck you" towards the rest of the day and went back to sleep.
The next day I woke up, went to the matter printer, made the parts for the foundry and arsenal, had to make a trolley as well, and dragged everything to my hab.
Slowly climbing up, grabbing the parts, putting them down, and repeating was pure annoyance at its finest, because I had to actually be fast with it.
Finally, after the parts were all at the bottom, I started constructing the foundry. I hoped that at least one of those power cells would be enough for at least two frames.
In the evening, I finally managed to finish building it, putting the blueprints from my human brain, and envisioning them in my CPU. I easily managed to transfer them to the foundry.
Which would be done in around 12 hours.
In the meantime, I got to work on the arsenal, which was a little easier, until I had to connect it with the foundry, but oh well.
The next morning, I woke up, ate my breakfast, cleaned myself up, and got ready to leave for the outside world.
And was denied due to the weather.
Deciding to just not give a fuck about school for the time being, I went to the matter printer, to make some decorations, paint, and other stuff, like floor boards, planks for the walls, and lights.
I would rather not live surrounded by cement.
And so that's what I worked on for the past three or so months.
My basement was so much larger, it looked pretty good as well. [warframe 1999 base].
And I got two warframes.
I would have had a couple more, if not for the fact that I was being lied to. And was not let outside no matter what. At a point, I stopped even asking.
I wasn't even going to school anymore, just did all of my assignments at home. Because I'd rather not deal with all the glares and backhand comments the drones thought I couldn't hear.
I have gotten an invitation to Doll's birthday, which I declined with a "Happy birthday, I will not be able to attend though".
I haven't met anyone I knew the whole time.
And today I've had enough, I managed to design a weather-detecting system yesterday.
And today was bright as hell.
Like, actually full-blown sun outside.
Even the temperature rose quite a bit.
I sighed, because yesterday was the same weather and I wasn't allowed outside.
Which meant Khan, in fact, did not hold up the deal we made after the last accident.
I growled, I've made so much progress, and all of my projects were dying due to the lack of resources.
Hell, I even bought the hab next to me, combined the two of them, and even connected the basement, enough for two tanks to fit in.
And now I couldn't do anything, literally.
I spent my time doing assignments, sending them back, watching anime, or playing games.
I've slightly changed my look as well.
I still had the coat, black hair, and white shirt, but I exchanged the jeans for black cargo pants, purely just because of the number of pockets.
Weeks passed as usual, until one day it wasn't usual.
Because the first thing I heard after exiting [Sleep Mode] was banging on my fucking door.
And of course, after opening it, it was Khan, because of course it had to be.
"Hello, tenno."
I nodded at him, my facial expression not changing a bit(figured out I can just slap a PNG on it),
"I've been notified you haven't been to school since the last time we talked",
I nodded again.
"I thought we had a deal?"
I actually frowned now,
"We did have a deal, until you broke it"
Khan sputtered for a few seconds,
"What? No, I didn't, is this because we are not letting you outside?"
I nodded again,
Khan sighed, "Look, kid, we've told you already, the weather has been bad lately".
I just stared at him.
"It has been sunny the past two days"
Now he just stared blankly at me,
"How do you know that?"
I scoffed, "You just told me"
He actually looked dumbfounded, completely taken aback, by the oldest trick in the book(literally).
"We will get back to that, why I'm here is because you haven't been to school, and one of your classmates' mothers is here and confirmed that"
I was actually starting to get annoyed,
"I never refuted that I wasn't going to school, and for your information, I've done every single assignment"
Khan just stared at me, "Well the teacher wants you to come to school",
I stared again, my eyes not moving an inch.
"No he doesn't, he just messaged me",
Khan actually looked like he had given up.
"Well, that doesn't matter! I'm ordering you."
I stared at him(was getting boring tbh)
"Are you an emperor now or something?"
Khan shook his head and continued,
"Look kid, I just want you, to head to school and talk to Uzi, and if you do that I'll allow you to leave the bunker"
I actually stared at him, my mouth agape,(must have looked like a fish out of water)
My visor actually showed the word "BRUH" in all capitals.
Khan just stared at me, looking quite uncomfortable.
"Why and what about?"
He seemed to lighten up a bit at that.
"Well, I just want you to be there, and after some time, I'll ask another thing"
I hummed, actually considering it.
"Sure, but I want outside now and I can leave whenever I want"
Khan grumbled, but seemingly coming to some idea he allowed it.
I slammed the door right after that.
I was a free man again!
I actually chuckled a bit.
Took some items, like one of the guns I've made, which was a high-powered sniper rifle called Vectis.
I loved the gun with all my heart, especially since it can basically shoot at sound barrier-breaking speed, but I usually toggled that off.
Strapping the sniper to my back in a vertical position, I left my hab, Khan still standing outside.
The same Khan that just watched a kid grab an anti-tank sniper rifle (fuck).
He seemingly got over it, and hopefully, the fact that I had a weapon would mean I can go outside more often.
And just like that, I was outside, touching snow.
I immediately went looking for supplies, especially the power cells, a task made much easier with my scanner, which can now identify them from afar.
Speaking of which, I've improved the scanner a lot, giving it internet access, making it do a full search of the item it scanned, and the information popping up next to the item on my UI, or in the corner of it.
It was basically an AI assistant without a voice.
I was now running across the ice and snow-covered roads.
I didn't even need to look through buildings anymore, the scanner did everything for me.
Approaching a larger building, my scanner detected multiple power cells on the first floor. I grinned wickedly, the feeling of freedom making me way more animated.
A few hours later, I returned, dragging a sled with dozens of valuable parts, the power cells hidden in my pockets, which I had found a total of 4.
All the loot I had bringed back in a matter of hours, could give me about a hundred of requisitions, which would equal roughly to 20 more frames, not that I would ever need or make that many, but it was a good comparison.
Returning to the bunker,(which thankfully opened its doors), I was let in.
I was met by absolute gobsmacked expressions of the drones present, as I dragged in the loot.
Ignoring them, dragged my sled into the bunker, stopped it by door 3, and I requested that one of the guards keep an eye on the sled.
Then I quickly rushed over to my hab, to grab my trolley, and rushed back, stacking all of the loot from the sled. I kept the sled near door 3. (No one stealing that.)
I brought my trolley to the matter printers, signed my name, and fed it everything.
Watching with every item how my available requisitions increased.
At the end of the loot, I was met by a total of 62 available requisitions, not counting my 4 power cells that would give me 20 each.
I sighed, today had been a good day.
Now I actually need to befriend Uzi, I groaned just now realizing what kind of hole I dug myself.
Then a thought struck me.
"Since when does Khan think about Uzi?"
I was sitting in my now gigantic living room.
Actually thinking about a point where I hear Uzi mention Khan or vice versa.
And suddenly I got a feeling that I fucked up.
Shrugging, I decided to just go to sleep.
