Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Happy Life of Pipis

Although the work at the Breeding House seemed very easy, in reality, there were a wide variety of tasks, big and small.

Cleaning, cooking, feeding Pokémon, serving guests, cultivating herbs, tidying guest rooms... It would take Kawaki and Bewear quite some time to complete all these tasks alone.

But if the Clefairy helped, the outcome would be different.

Taking advantage of the Breeding House having few guests, Kawaki and Bewear conducted urgent special training for the Clefairy and assigned them different jobs and tasks.

There are currently twelve Clefairy in the Breeding House.

Kawaki divided them into six groups of two each, which were:

Chef Clefairy, who prepared food for everyone;

Housekeeping Clefairy, who cleaned;

Waiter Clefairy, who greeted guests;

Breeder Clefairy, who looked after and fed the Pokémon in the backyard;

Farmer Clefairy, who watered, fertilized, and harvested herbs and vegetables;

And Doctor Clefairy, who specialized in healing moves and could provide treatment services for the Pokémon in the Breeding House.

The six groups of Clefairy were taught and specially trained by Kawaki and Bewear.

Bewear was good at chores, cleaning, and feeding Pokémon, so it was responsible for teaching the Housekeeping Clefairy and Breeder Clefairy.

The remaining eight Clefairy were personally trained by Kawaki.

First, he bought two Wailmer watering cans from Fallarbor Town and distributed them to the two Farmer Clefairy, teaching them to water the seeds in the fields at a fixed time every day.

Currently, there were no Water-type Pokémon in the Breeding House, so they could only ask the Clefairy for help.

The Doctor Clefairy's job was even simpler; their hospital was set up in the spaceship.

If there were injured Pokémon in the Breeding House, they could go there and seek their help for treatment.

Next was the hotel section.

The Waiter Clefairy's job was also very simple: if guests stayed and ordered food, they needed to deliver the prepared food to the guests' tables for them to enjoy.

As for the most difficult Chef Clefairy... It took Kawaki less than a day to teach the other Clefairy, but it took him a full three days to teach the two Chef Clefairy how to make ramen, sandwiches, and Berry Juice.

Looking at the two Clefairy making sandwiches in front of him, Kawaki slowly let out a breath.

For now, these dishes were enough, after all, their focus was still the Breeding House.

Kawaki initially thought these tasks would be very difficult for the Clefairy, and perhaps they would lose interest after a few days, as they had never encountered such things before.

But it turned out he had overthought it.

The Clefairy clearly enjoyed it.

"Clefairy!"

The Clefairy fully adapted to life in the Breeding House in just one day and one night.

Because here there was an endless supply of food and Lemonade, almost exactly like the "land flowing with milk and honey" described in the legends of their planet!

Here, they didn't need to go out and find food themselves, nor would they encounter danger; every day at mealtime, the human named Kawaki would bring them a lot of delicious food.

The Clefairy had never lived such a life before.

Their planet didn't even have these things; it was so much fun here!

However, fun and games aside, they still had to work seriously.

Because Kawaki had said that they had an employer-employee relationship; they helped with tasks, and Kawaki would help them repair the spaceship and search for the energy stones needed for the spaceship's journey.

Once they collected enough Moon Stone, they could leave this planet and continue their journey to find the "land flowing with milk and honey"!

At night, the Clefairy, who had worked all day, gathered in the spaceship, chatting about the legendary place and discussing leaving this planet once they had collected enough Moon Stone.

Finally, the two Chef Clefairy said with faces full of longing: "Clefairy!" (Making food is so much fun, I love making food!)

When it saw guests enjoying the food it had carefully prepared, that feeling was truly so happy!

The Farmer Clefairy also had this feeling.

Today, Oddish told them that even though there was only a small seed buried in the soil, it would sprout, grow, flower, and bear fruit if given some time.

"Clefairy~" It really made the Clefairy look forward to it!

And not only that.

The Farmer Clefairy looked at the Chef Clefairy and said: "Clefairy!" (Kawaki said that when the seeds we plant grow and bear Berry, we can give them to you to make delicious dishes!)

"Clefairy?!" The Chef Clefairy's eyes lit up, is that true?

"Clefairy!" The Farmer Clefairy nodded repeatedly, yes! Kawaki and Bewear said so!

"Clefairy!" Great! The Chef Clefairy also began to look forward to it.

The Clefairy in other job positions, although not experiencing such exaggerated feelings, also quite enjoyed life here.

You know, their planet was full of rocks, with no flowers, plants, or trees like here, and no Lemonade.

Moreover, the work at the Breeding House was not tiring at all; most of the time, they were slacking off.

Not only that, Kawaki and Bewear would also give them delicious snacks.

This must be heaven for Clefairy, right?

Seeing this, a Clefairy couldn't help but ask: "Clefairy?"

Did they still need to search for the place flowing with milk and honey?

They didn't know where that legendary place was, and if they continued their journey, they might end up returning empty-handed.

"Clefairy!" A Clefairy nodded firmly, of course they had to go! They left their planet precisely to find that place!

"Clefairy..."

The other Clefairy remained silent.

*

The Clefairy's problems were thus solved, and the Breeding House gained many helpers, which made Kawaki's mood greatly improve.

However, there was still one problem.

That was what to do with the six meteorite the Clefairy gave him.

Although these things were just decorative items to the Clefairy, Kawaki knew that any one of them could activate Mt. Chimney, cause a volcanic eruption, and revive Groudon.

Moreover, these things felt hot to the touch; could they be radioactive?

Kawaki was startled and quickly put down the stone, looking at his hand.

There was no change on it, and his body felt no discomfort, seemingly unaffected by radiation at all.

"Uh... Maybe it's because humans in the Pokémon world have special physiques?"

Kawaki couldn't help but guess, like Ash in the anime, who could directly withstand Thunderbolt.

But speaking of Ash... At this time, Steven hadn't become Champion yet, and Ash's age should be around four or five years old, right?

This also meant that it would take at least five years until the series of plot events in the Pokémon world occurred.

Just right, they could secretly develop during these five years, so that if Groudon and Kyogre fought and affected the Hoenn region, they would also have a certain degree of self-preservation.
