Chapter 32 - A Song of Ice and Fire — The Ender Dragon Rider

"Mod, activate!"

Ian watched as a brand-new mod icon appeared on the Transmutation Tablet, and his eyes instantly lit up.

"Ice and Fire: Dragons Mod? A Song of Ice and Fire?" he couldn't help but read aloud, the corners of his mouth lifting uncontrollably. His luck today was insane—he'd actually unlocked a massive mod like this!

He quickly opened the mod introduction, and dense lines of text and gorgeous images filled his vision.

New biomes, exotic creatures, hundreds of unique items, and most importantly—dragons of every kind!

The more he read, the more thrilled he became. As a veteran gamer and anime fan, who hadn't dreamed of becoming a dragon rider?

Although the items from the Ice and Fire Mod wouldn't greatly increase his combat power, strength was temporary—style was eternal!

Then he noticed the section about hatching an Ender Dragon egg—and his excitement skyrocketed.

That long-idle dragon egg finally had a purpose!

He immediately pulled the black egg out of his storage space, running his fingers over the fine patterns on its shell with a look of anticipation.

At that moment, the Transmutation Tablet displayed a message:

[Detected: The Overworld cannot naturally generate a Dragon Island. Would you like to designate a location and spend EMC to generate one?]

Without hesitation, Ian selected "Yes" and looked out toward the vast void beyond the main island. His mind raced as he imagined the blueprint for his Dragon Island—it had to be the coolest island ever built!

Once he confirmed the location, he initiated the generation process. The Tablet displayed that the more EMC he spent, the larger the island would be, with a maximum cap of… 9,999,999,999.

"Only nine point nine billion? Just ten digits?" Ian raised a brow in mock disappointment. "That's way too little, come on! Let me add a few more zeros!"

But the Transmutation Tablet stayed silent, indifferent as ever. With a sigh, Ian shrugged. Fine, he'd make do.

Without a moment's hesitation, he dragged the EMC slider to the max. "Come on, if you're gonna spend, you spend big! If I'm going to build, I'll build the biggest, best, and most expensive one!" And if there was one thing he had in excess, it was EMC.

A dazzling flash burst from the Tablet, nearly blinding him. Ian instinctively raised a hand to shield his eyes, muttering, "Nice visual effects… money well spent."

When the light faded, a shimmering island outline appeared in the distance, and the Tablet showed a countdown timer: Dragon Island Generation — 29 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes.

"Thirty days? That's forever…" Ian groaned. It felt like waiting for a game update—knowing something amazing was coming but not being able to touch it yet. Torture.

He tried to bargain, "Hey, Tablet, can I pay to speed it up? Just open a top-up option! I've got cash to burn!"

Silence. The Tablet ignored him completely, as emotionless as ever.

"Fine, fine. Thirty days it is." Ian sighed, then comforted himself, "At least I can use this time to plan the surroundings and stockpile dragon food. My little Ender Dragon's gonna need proper care!"

His eyes gleamed with excitement as he imagined soaring across the sky on a mighty dragon. Maybe not the strongest—but definitely the coolest!

Once everything was arranged, Ian began the hatching process. He placed the egg at the center of the void platform and took out a large number of Eyes of Ender from the Tablet.

He crushed them into powder and scattered them around the egg until the pile formed a small hill—completely burying it.

Ian was too rich to care about waste. He wanted the most extravagant dragon-hatching ceremony possible!

Days passed. Just as he was starting to forget about the egg, he suddenly felt a strange connection forming in the void.

Snapping his head up, he saw a small black figure flapping its fragile wings as it flew toward him.

It was a miniature Ender Dragon—its body pure black, its eyes glowing purple. Even though it was still tiny, its coolness was undeniable.

Ian quickly pulled out the dragon food he'd prepared in advance. The little Ender Dragon, clearly starving, began devouring it eagerly.

As it ate, its body grew at an incredible rate—from hatchling to adolescent, and before long, to full maturity—reaching the size of a Level 5 dragon in-game.

(Model based on a normal black dragon, not the square-headed Ender Dragon.)

That was the magic of the Ice and Fire Mod—dragon food worked like gold fertilizer: with enough of it, your dragon could evolve endlessly!

To make his dragon even more awe-inspiring, Ian began crafting dragon armor.

He chose Dark Matter as the material and forged a full set of Dark Matter Dragon Armor. The sleek black plates perfectly hugged the dragon's frame, enhancing its mysterious and powerful presence.

"Now that's more like it—black armor for a black dragon. Perfect combo!" Ian grinned in satisfaction.

The armored Ender Dragon let out a low, rumbling growl of excitement. It rubbed its massive head affectionately against Ian, nudging him to climb on. Luckily, Ian was strong enough—anyone else would've been crushed flat.

He leapt onto its back, steady and sure, feeling the cold metal of the armor and the raw power beneath it.

Sure, he could already fly—but flying on a dragon? Way cooler.

Still, something felt missing. Then, with a thought, he transformed his Red Matter Katar into a several-meter-long lance, gripping it tightly.

"Yeah, that's it." He twirled the spear with a flourish and nodded, satisfied.

Click! He snapped a photo using the Group Chat's camera feature and posted it.

Super Block Man: "Well? How's my new ride? Pretty awesome, right?"

Freezing Cold: "Whoa! A dragon?! That's so cool! You actually raised a dragon, big bro!" Molly was the first to respond, spamming exclamation marks in excitement.

Boiling Alive: "Holy crap! A dragon knight?! Bro, you're going straight to the heavens! That armor—damn, and that lance—so badass!" Felix couldn't help but curse in awe, practically drooling through the screen.

Starving Platform: "…The Boss's world is indeed beyond the imagination of us mortals."

Dead Legs Run: "Wow… so cool." Chloe, who was fishing with Miss Witch, looked at her new pony and suddenly found it far less appealing.

Super Block Man: "@everyone, don't worry! The Dragon Island is under construction—only ten days left! Once it's done, you can all visit and catch your own dragons!"

Freezing Cold: "Really? Thank you, big bro!" The others echoed her excitement in the chat.

The group was instantly filled with laughter and envy as everyone gushed over Ian's dragon knight look and began daydreaming about their own dragon-riding adventures.

Suddenly, a notification popped up:
