Super Block Man: "Take the Red Packets I sent you. Inside are Energy Collectors and Totems of Undying. Place the Energy Collectors in your worlds to absorb energy."
Super Block Man: "Once the energy is full, we can open a portal to my world. Then I can come to your world to provide support when anything happens."
Super Block Man: "As for the Totems of Undying, they're exactly what the name suggests. But I advise you not to waste them."
After chatting, Ian sent Zeke and Kevin several Energy Collector MK3s, sending a few extra to Zeke.
Ian believed that Terraria's rules regarding energy might be similar to Minecraft's, possibly also disregarding the law of conservation of energy.
Super Block Man asked: "@War God of Terra, Zeke, try placing a few Energy Collectors in Terraria. If you can, place a few more and see how much this Terraria world can handle." Ian instructed in the group chat.
Zeke received the Energy Collectors and immediately began placing them on the ground. One, two, three… As more were placed, the surrounding space began to vibrate faintly.
When he placed the ninth one, he felt nothing unusual. But the moment he placed the tenth, a sudden wave of dread washed over him—like something terrifying had fixed its gaze on him.
He had a bad feeling that putting down the tenth Energy Collector would cause something awful to happen.
War God of Terra: "@Super Block Man, bro, looks like my world can handle nine Energy Collectors. But when I tried the tenth, I suddenly felt chills. I don't dare place more."
Zeke had been terrified by that feeling and didn't want to push his luck.
Super Block Man: "It's fine. Nine is enough. At this rate, we'll have enough energy soon. Probably a few hours from now, we'll be able to meet."
War God of Terra: "Godfather, your beloved son is waiting for you to save him!"
Super Block Man: "Hold on, I'm on my way!"
War God of Terra: "Copy that, Godfather!" Zeke happily imagined a future where Ian carried him through Terraria, slaughtering everything in sight.
After settling things with Zeke, Ian turned his attention back to the chat group.
Super Block Man: "@Angel International Supervisor, Kevin, how are things on your end?"
Angel International Supervisor: "Boss, I carefully reviewed the Super Seminary timeline. I'm on good terms with the maintenance department guys, and I haven't heard anything about glass repairs in the angelic top-floor conference room lately."
Angel International Supervisor: "That means Angel Yan probably hasn't come to this planet yet. And there's no news about mecha aliens invading. The plot shouldn't have started. For now, I'm still safe."
Super Block Man: "That's good. Lay low for a few more days. Once the interdimensional portal is built, you won't have to worry."
Meanwhile in Terraria…
Nine Energy Collectors were running at full power, drawing in massive amounts of energy. After several long hours of waiting, Zeke finally received Ian's message.
Super Block Man: "@War God of Terra. My good son, don't panic. Your godfather is here."
He spent EMC to construct the portal. A portal radiating ghostly blue light gradually formed in front of him. Ian stepped through.
The next second, he found himself standing in… a pitch-black cave?
"Zeke? Where are you?" Ian called out.
"Brother Ian! I'm here!" an excited voice shouted nearby.
Ian turned toward the sound and saw Zeke huddled in a corner, his face covered in dust but glowing with excitement.
"Brother Ian! You finally came!" Zeke leapt up.
"Oh? A moment ago you called me the godfather, but now that I'm here it's 'Brother Ian' again?" Ian teased, looking at Zeke's dirt-stained face.
Then he noticed someone standing beside Zeke—a man wearing a green shirt, light blue jeans, and with messy brown hair.
The man stared at Ian blankly, confused and… curious?
"This is… the Guide?" Ian asked.
"Yeah, yeah, that's him!" Zeke quickly nodded.
The Guide seemed to snap back to his senses and hurriedly pulled out a worn handbook, offering it to Ian. "Hello, I'm the Guide. This is the Beginner's Handbook. Please take it."
Ian flipped through it. It contained the basics of Terraria.
Good stuff. If only he'd had this back when he first played the game. The sandbox trinity still couldn't produce a proper tutorial.
"Thanks." Ian tucked the handbook away, then pulled an Abyssal Helmet, Infernal Armor, Gravity Leggings, and Hurricane Boots out of his Inventory. "Here, Zeke, put this on."
Zeke's eyes lit up, and he reached out to take them.
But after a long pause, he still hadn't equipped anything.
"What's wrong? Why aren't you putting it on? Didn't you get a system when you transmigrated to Terraria?"
"Of course I did. I have my game panel. But Brother Ian… I can't equip this set! It says I need to beat the Moon Lord first," Zeke said awkwardly.
"Oh. There's a restriction." Ian slapped his forehead and pulled out a Red Matter Armor set. "Try this one."
"This says I need to beat Plantera…"
"Dark Matter Armor then?"
"Need to beat the Wall of Flesh first…"
"…"
Ian was speechless. All his strongest gear, and Zeke couldn't wear a single piece.
"Fine. Wear this for now." Ian handed him a Netherite set with top-tier enchantments—something he'd crafted when bored.
"Got it!" Zeke finally equipped his new armor.
Speaking of that Netherite, Miss Witch had brought it during her last supply run. Ian had even joked that the Vindicators and villagers must have gone to get reinforcements—yet still hadn't returned.
Meanwhile, on the edge of Dragon Island, a group of villagers and a heavily armed band of pillagers were stuck in a chunk that hadn't fully generated yet, unable to advance or retreat…
Looking at the fully armored Zeke, Ian still felt uneasy. After thinking for a moment, he crafted one of the most underused artifacts since his transmigration—the Shield.
He made dozens of them in one go, stuffing them all into Zeke's hands. "Take these shields. They can save your life."
"Thanks, Godfather!" Zeke stored them away. Ian then handed him a Body Stone vest to wear as well.
To protect the Guide, Ian reinforced the little "shelter" with dirt and stone.
"Alright, we're heading out!" Ian declared. "Let's explore this world!"
With that, he grabbed Zeke and teleported away.
The next moment, the two reappeared in a bright, sunny forest.
Everywhere they looked, slimes were bouncing around—easily close to a thousand just in sight. To make things worse, it was currently raining slimes. Balloon-carrying slimes fell from the sky nonstop.
At this spawn rate, Zeke would get insta-killed the moment he stepped outside. How was anyone supposed to play without a cheat?
"Godfather, why are there so many slimes?! It feels like there are way more than yesterday!" Zeke shouted in shock.
"It's definitely a lot. I feel like if I swing my sword a few times, the King Slime will pop out," Ian said while carrying Zeke into the air as countless slimes bounced below them.
