CHAPTER 9

EPISODE 1

ARC — DEVIL GIBBLE BEAST (PART 2)

KANOJI — Now

Kanoji:

"Now… it's your turn to die."

Kanoji leapt into the sky and stopped mid-air, floating calmly.

He slowly closed his eyes.

Kanoji:

"Harukiyo…

Bankai — Ghost Form: Stage One."

The air shattered.

Hundreds—no, thousands—of ghostly entities were summoned around him.

Lord Jiung (Lord #2):

"What the hell is this?!

He's not normal… he's a devil curse!"

The ghosts rushed forward.

One by one, they entered Lord Jiung's body.

He screamed—louder than the sky itself.

His veins burst.

His mind collapsed.

BOOM.

Lord Jiung's head exploded.

Silence.

Figures watching from the Eye in the sky trembled.

Figures:

"How the hell did he kill two Curse Lords in seconds…?"

Figure #2:

"Change target.

Kill his friend—Wyung Shing. The one riding the dragon."

They all rushed toward Wyung Shing.

Figure #1:

"Kill him!"

Before they could move—

CRASH.

Kanoji slammed down from the sky directly onto Figure #1.

The impact was so brutal that Figure #1 was stabbed deep into the ground by Kanoji's legs.

Kanoji:

"Die, you piece of shit."

Kanoji began kicking his head repeatedly, mercilessly.

Blood sprayed everywhere.

Kanoji:

"You're nothing.

Just a puppet…

a puppet of the fucking Curse."

Meanwhile—

The other Figures grabbed Wyung Shing.

Figures #2, #3, #4:

"Kanoji! Stop or we'll kill your fucking friend!"

Kanoji didn't stop.

He kicked harder.

One final blow—

CRACK.

Figure #1 was dead.

Kanoji stood up.

Kanoji:

"Now kill him.

I don't need him anymore."

Wyung Shing:

"Kanoji… what are you saying?!"

Kanoji:

"Shut the fuck up, you useless shit."

The galaxy above twisted.

From the void, a massive trident descended.

Something was written on it—

in blood.

Kanoji stepped closer and read:

"Save Wyung Shing…

and return to me, you brat."

Kanoji smirked.

Kanoji:

"Okay… No One."

He raised his hand.

From his fingers, a crimson laser burst forth.

The sky ripped open.

A gate to the Devil Void appeared.

Countless devils moved exactly as Kanoji moved his fingers.

Then—

A massive red beam descended from the heavens.

The Figures screamed.

The Eye in the sky shattered and collapsed.

All Figures—

erased.

Silence returned.

Wyung Shing:

"Thanks… Kanoji.

But why did you save me now?"

Kanoji:

"Because it was No One's order."

Wyung Shing:

"I see…

So you only use people as power, huh?"

Kanoji's form slowly returned to normal.

His power faded.

Suddenly—

He started crying.

Wyung Shing:

"You destroyed the world…

So why are you crying?"

Kanoji:

"These… are the tears of death."

He looked down.

Kanoji:

"I know I'm a monster.

A devil.

A curse…

Just like Tokiyami Fushi."

Wyung Shing froze.

Wyung Shing:

"…Did you know

Tokiyami Fushi was my father?"

EPISODE 2

ARC — DEVIL GIBBLE BEAST (PART 2)

KANOJI — After

Silence did not last.

It never did—

not around Kanoji.

The shattered sky was still bleeding crimson light when his knees finally gave way. The Devil Void closed behind him like a wounded beast, sealing itself with a low, distant scream that echoed through dimensions unseen.

Kanoji stood there, shaking.

Not from exhaustion.

Not from pain.

From absence.

Wyung Shing remained frozen, his dragon hovering uncertainly behind him, wings twitching as if the creature itself sensed something deeply wrong.

"Kanoji…" Wyung Shing said quietly.

"You heard what I said, right?"

No response.

Kanoji's head was lowered. His hair clung to his face, damp with sweat—and tears. The ground beneath him was scorched black where divine and devilish power had overlapped. A place that would never grow life again.

"…Did you know Tokiyami Fushi was my father?"

The words finally reached him.

Slowly—

too slowly—

Kanoji lifted his head.

The rage was gone.

So was the god.

Only an eighteen-year-old boy remained.

"I know," Kanoji said.

Wyung Shing's breath caught.

"…What?"

"I've always known." Kanoji's voice was hollow. "Since the first time you said your name."

The dragon behind Wyung Shing growled softly, uneasy.

"Then why?" Wyung Shing demanded. "Why didn't you say anything? Why did you look at me like I was just another tool?"

Kanoji laughed.

But there was no humor in it.

"Because if I saw you as a son," he said, "I'd hesitate."

Wyung Shing stepped back.

"…Hesitate?"

"Yes." Kanoji wiped his face with trembling fingers. "And hesitation gets people killed in this world."

The sky above them began to distort again—not violently this time, but unnaturally. Like something watching from behind a mirror.

Wyung Shing clenched his fists. "You destroyed the Eye. You erased the Figures. You won. So why do you look like you lost everything?"

Kanoji looked past him.

Past the battlefield.

Past the ruined horizon.

Past the burning clouds.

"I didn't win," he said softly.

"I just followed orders."

A presence stirred.

Not in the sky.

Not on the ground.

Inside him.

—Return to me.

The voice of No One echoed faintly, like a memory pretending to be a command.

Wyung Shing felt it too. His skin crawled. "That voice again… it's not human, is it?"

"No." Kanoji shook his head. "It never was."

He turned away.

"For you," Kanoji continued, "Tokiyami Fushi was a father."

Wyung Shing swallowed hard.

"For me," Kanoji said, "he was proof."

"Proof of what?"

"That even the purest human…"

"…can be turned into a monster by this world."

The ground cracked beneath Kanoji's feet.

Not from power—

from suppression.

His aura collapsed inward violently, like a star imploding. Wyung Shing felt the pressure vanish, replaced by something far worse.

Emptiness.

"Kanoji—!"

"I can't stay," Kanoji interrupted. "The moment I hesitate again… No One will take control completely."

Wyung Shing's eyes widened. "Take control?"

Kanoji looked back one last time.

"When that happens," he said, "I won't cry anymore."

The words terrified Wyung Shing more than any attack had.

"Kanoji… are you saying you'll disappear?"

"No."

A pause.

"I'm saying I'll stop being human."

The dragon roared in protest.

The world trembled—not from power, but from fear.

Far away, beyond the shattered Eye, within rotating rings of ancient design, new figures began to awaken.

Their voices overlapped through dimensions.

"The Devil Gibble Beast has awakened fully."

"The Wall of Scorpion is no longer enough."

"If Kanoji breaks even one barrier—"

"—the future will collapse."

One figure smiled.

"Good."

Back on the battlefield, Kanoji vanished.

No light.

No sound.

Only a single black feather remained, dissolving into ash as Wyung Shing reached for it.

"…Father," Wyung Shing whispered, unsure whether he meant Tokiyami Fushi…

or Kanoji.

CHAPTER 9

EPISODE 2 (PART-B)

ARC — DEVIL GIBBLE BEAST (PART 2)

WYUNG SHING — After

Wyung Shing stood alone.

The battlefield that moments ago had been filled with screams, divine light, and collapsing skies…

was now quiet.

Too quiet.

The ash from the shattered Eye drifted down like black snow. Each particle carried a pressure that made breathing feel heavier, as if the world itself was mourning—or warning.

"Kanoji…" Wyung Shing whispered again.

No answer.

The dragon slowly descended behind him, its massive form shrinking as it landed. Even the beast, born of war and power, kept its head lowered.

Wyung Shing clenched his teeth.

He left.

Not as a hero.

Not as a victor.

But like someone running from himself.

Wyung Shing's hands trembled as memories began flooding back—memories he had buried under years of survival.

Tokiyami Fushi.

His father.

The man who was supposed to save the world… and instead became the reason it broke.

"If even he couldn't remain human…" Wyung Shing murmured, "…then what chance does Kanoji have?"

The air suddenly shifted.

A deep vibration echoed through the ground, not violent, but ancient.

The dragon growled.

Wyung Shing turned—

And froze.

Far beyond the horizon, something massive moved.

Not a creature.

A wall.

The Wall of Scorpion.

Even from this distance, its presence crushed the air. Runes carved into its surface pulsed faintly, reacting to the residue of devil power left behind by Kanoji.

"So it's true…" Wyung Shing whispered.

"The walls are responding to him."

A voice answered.

Not aloud.

Inside his mind.

—He has crossed the line once again.

Wyung Shing staggered, gripping his head.

"Who's there?!"

The world blurred.

For a moment, Wyung Shing saw a different sky—clear, blue, untouched by curses. He saw humans walking freely. Laughing. Living.

Then it shattered.

—Tokiyami Fushi saw this future too.

Wyung Shing's breath caught.

"…You knew my father."

—I observed him. Just as I observe Kanoji.

A shape formed before him—not fully visible, more like a silhouette carved from light and shadow.

"Are you one of the Figures?" Wyung Shing demanded.

The presence paused.

—No. I am what remains when gods refuse responsibility.

Wyung Shing felt cold.

"…No One."

The name slipped from his lips without realizing it.

The presence neither confirmed nor denied it.

—Your survival was not part of the original path. Kanoji altered that.

Wyung Shing's fists tightened. "So he saved me because you ordered him to?"

—He saved you because he still remembers how it feels to lose someone.

Silence followed.

Wyung Shing's chest ached.

"Then why push him?" Wyung Shing asked. "Why keep forcing him to become something he hates?"

The presence darkened.

—Because this world does not survive kindness.

The vision collapsed.

Wyung Shing dropped to one knee, gasping. When he looked up, the presence was gone.

Only the Wall remained… pulsing faster now.

Somewhere else—

KANOJI — Elsewhere

Kanoji opened his eyes.

Darkness.

Not empty darkness—

living darkness.

The Devil Void breathed around him, each pulse synchronized with his heartbeat. Chains of red light hovered in the distance, binding things that should not exist.

He tried to move.

Pain answered.

Not physical pain.

Memory.

Every scream.

Every order.

Every time he chose efficiency over mercy.

"I didn't want this…" Kanoji whispered.

The Void responded by showing him fragments—

Wyung Shing reaching for the feather.

Tokiyami Fushi standing alone before the war.

A child crying in a world that offered no help.

Kanoji screamed.

"Stop!"

The visions shattered.

A figure stepped forward from the darkness—taller than Kanoji, its face hidden, its presence overwhelming.

—You have entered the threshold.

Kanoji forced himself to stand.

"…If this is where I lose myself," he said, "then do it quickly."

The figure tilted its head.

—You misunderstand. This is where you choose.

Chains rattled.

—Remain human… and the world dies.

—Become the Devil Gibble Beast… and you live long enough to watch everything end.

Kanoji laughed weakly.

"…That's not a choice."

The figure stepped closer.

—Tokiyami Fushi made the same decision.

Kanoji's smile vanished.

"…And look what it cost him."

The Void fell silent.

For the first time—

Something hesitated.
