"Did you remember something?" Darius asked in a low tone.
"But even if I remembered something, there's no way the old me would've understood it was a plan. Don't you think that's why she cried so much when you left her behind?" I said.
"Why are you talking like you and she are different?" he asked, making me smile.
"Remember—no matter who I was before, I doubt she was smart enough to see the lie behind your words. That's why, when that old man said he heard about you losing your memory, she didn't realize that when you mentioned it, he wasn't even present there. So how could he possibly know?" I said, looking straight into his eyes, a wide smile curving my lips.
"Did you just remember that memory?" he asked, his voice suddenly tense.
"Yes. I just saw how you set up everything to trap me back then, when I was naïve enough to walk right into it," I said.
He stayed silent.
