In the hallway of Hogwarts, two figures ran quickly toward the classroom.
Inside the classroom, all the students sat upright, but there was no teacher on the platform, only a cat.
Harry and Ron pushed open the classroom door, attracting everyone's attention.
Hermione and Malfoy turned around and saw Harry and Meghan walking into the classroom.
Hermione shook her head, somewhat worried for the two of them, but Ron breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that there were no teachers around.
"Phew, we're finally here! If Professor McGonagall were here, her face would be terrifying!"
Upon hearing Ron's words, the cat on the podium leaped into the air and transformed into Professor McGonagall, walking straight up to Ron.
Seeing Professor McGonagall's unfriendly gaze, Ron gave an awkward smile.
"That was a brilliant move, Professor McGonagall!"
Professor McGonagall looked at the two of them expressionlessly. "Thank you for your assessment, Mr. Weasley."
"Perhaps I should turn Mr. Potter and you into a pocket watch together, then at least one of you will be able to keep to the time."
Potter remained expressionless, but inwardly he was panicking.
We're lost!
Professor McGonagall looked at Harry. "Then turn it into a map! You don't need a map to get to your seat, right?!"
The two awkwardly sat down, and as soon as they did, Professor McGonagall launched into a tirade against everyone:
"Transfiguration is arguably one of the most complex and dangerous spells you will learn at Hogwarts."
"Anyone who tries to cause trouble in my class can get out of here right now and never come back. Let's be upfront about this."
Then she turned the table into a pig and then turned it back.
"Is this a transformation technique?"
"Professor McGonagall also knows battle magic?"
"That's amazing! It can actually turn a table into a pig!"
Everyone was amazed by her amazing skill, and they were all eager to try it themselves.
Professor McGonagall frowned; she knew this would happen.
She had anticipated this scene when Jack demonstrated the transformation technique, and she even went to ask Jack for advice.
Looking at the restless students below, Professor McGonagall tapped on the podium.
After they quieted down, Professor McGonagall spoke:
"The Transfiguration Charm is not a transformation spell! Nor is it combat magic!"
Professor Jack has already stated that the transformation technique can only change oneself.
Transfiguration is magic that can transform one object into another.
It can turn inanimate objects into living things, and vice versa.
Some transfiguration spells can change a part of something, such as turning a person's ears into a rabbit's ears.
The difference between a Transfiguration Charm and a Shapeshifting Charm is huge! Most importantly, a Transfiguration Charm actually transforms you into another object.
While transformation magic may make it appear as if one transforms into another object, it is actually just a visual illusion and not a true transformation.
Everyone then realized what was happening and quietly stopped practicing hand seals under the table, intending to listen carefully to the transformation spell.
I want to learn the Transformation spell, and I also want to learn the Transformation Charm!
Turning furniture into animals is so incredibly cool!
This is exactly what these students are thinking!
However, they soon realized that they wouldn't be able to turn furniture into animals without spending a considerable amount of time learning.
After taking a long and complicated set of notes, everyone was given a match, and they all began to put in their best effort to turn the match into a needle.
However, by the end of the class, only Hermione had managed to make a slight change to her match.
Professor McGonagall showed the whole class how to make the match silvery-white and sharp, and gave Hermione a very rare smile.
"As expected of someone Professor Jack has chosen, you are quite good, Hermione Granger!"
Hermione smiled and replied, "Thank you for your compliment, Professor McGonagall!"
When the class ended, Ron and Harry came to Hermione's side, looking enviously at the matches in her hand.
"Hermione, how did you do that! That's amazing!"
Harry nodded. Professor McGonagall had said it would be difficult, but he hadn't expected Hermione to make progress in just one class.
Compared to Hermione, he and Ron showed no reaction at all.
Hermione raised her proud little head, revealing her signature front teeth.
"It's very simple! Just concentrate and release the spell!"
Ron's face fell; it was as if he hadn't said anything at all!
Is this the difference between a top student and a poor student?
We can only get 60 points because our ability is limited to 60 points, while Hermione can get 100 points because her test paper only has 100 points!
That's so discouraging!
"Thank goodness I still have him," Ron said, patting Harry on the shoulder, instantly feeling a bit better.
The three of them left the professor's office together to go to the auditorium for a meal, chatting idly along the way.
Ron's eyes darted around, and suddenly he thought of something. He asked with a sly grin:
"Hermione, you're so amazing, you must have mastered the art of creating clones by now!"
Hermione shook her head. "This clone technique isn't that simple. I'm already familiar with the hand seals, but I need to use it in conjunction with magic."
Although it had some effect, the results were extremely poor!
After saying that, Hermione handed the book to Harry and began to make hand seals.
Hermione's hands moved quickly, and she completed the three hand seals in no time.
Wei-Si-Yin!
A puff of white smoke appeared, and a deflated balloon lay on the ground.
This balloon looks just like Hermione!
Hermione looked at the clone on the ground with a dissatisfied expression.
Ron, Harry, and the students on the road were all stunned!
"A clone technique?! She actually used a clone technique!"
"How is she so amazing? I practiced all night to master the hand seals, and it takes me at least several seconds to change one hand seal!"
"Although I can make the hand seals, I always feel something is wrong when I combine them with magic, and it just doesn't work!"
"Although it wasn't completely successful, it feels like we're almost there! No wonder Professor Jack personally selected the class representative!"
"It seems I won't get Professor Jack's prize!"
Hearing the praise around her, Hermione's displeasure disappeared, replaced by a happy expression.
I'm just that great!
Ron was shocked and his face fell. How come it wasn't what he expected?
Harry was completely shocked. Hermione was amazing! She learned the Shadow Clone Technique so quickly!
Malfoy, who was standing nearby, clenched his fists, his heart filled with rage.
How dare a mere Mudblood be more powerful than a pure-blooded mage like me?!
"Even if you know it, so what? It's not the final moment yet, and we don't know who will get the reward!"
He might have only practiced these three seals and didn't know the other nine.
Mudbloods will always be mudbloods!
After saying that, Malfoy left the scene with his henchmen, leaving Hermione to grit her teeth and stare at Malfoy's departing figure.
