'Darn it! I was not able to finish the boss in time.'
Cane thought as he dodged the final attack of the boss monster. His body reacted, and he ducked in time. Seconds later, a huge claw passed over his face.
He used that opportunity to launch an assault at the monster's claw. It distracted the monster enough for him to fire off another round of shots, and the monster finally fell, letting out a final cry.
'Finally, it's done.'
Cane approached the boss carefully. Since the message from the system had not appeared, he could only assume that the boss was still alive.
He carefully made his way near the boss, and it jerked, finally trying to catch Cane once more.
But he had been ready to counter that attack.
'3…2…1…I need to attack now.'
Cane knew the vague timing of the boss's attack, so he was able to dodge it in time. The boss looked confused when it saw that Cane had managed to dodge its attack, but due to its low strength, it was not able to counter.

Cane watched as his exp and level went up all of a sudden, but not too much. He could still farm a little more.
'This is perfect. I am still level 34, so I can participate in An Additional Skill quest before I level up.'
[No#1Player: Woah-! You killed the boss while being underleveled? You are good.]
[WinWinWin: Don't be too happy. He was just 5 levels under. If he cannot do that, then he cannot call himself a professional.]
[HaremKingXXX: You should buy a new weapon. The current one you have will not hold up soon.]
Cane looked at the messages he got with a smile.
Half of them called him a good player, while the other half wanted him to try and solo a level 100 boss. Cane took their suggestions in from one ear and then out from the other.
There was no need for him to entertain these guests so much.
But there was one suggestion that he found useful, and that was to change his weapon.
So far, he was just running on the tutorial weapon because he had no time or funds to get a decent one. But he was finally going to sell the +20 weapon. That would give him all the funds he needed.
"Don't worry. I am going to change my weapon to another one soon enough. But don't be too shocked when you see my new weapon."
Cane told the chat, but they did not seem that impressed.
[Shura: We already saw a +20 weapon in-game because of you. It won't be too surprising if we see a +20 gun from you soon either.]
Well, that remained to be seen. Cane was not sure he wanted to invest in a weapon so soon…not that it would be too much for him.
"Alright, let's head back for now. Dani is waiting for me outside."
Cane reminded his chat as he walked out of the boss's room. Dani had a pout on his face, and his female form made Cane's chat go wild.
"Why did you leave me all alone? Do you know how much I had to wait around for?"
Dani asked, and Cane flinched at his friend's cute act. He would rather have Dani do this to the camera.
[Heerafan: Darn it. I might be a Lee Heera fan, but I might change my preference to Dani. Does anyone know her socials?]
Cane instantly shot the man down.
"Sorry, but my friend prefers to remain anonymous, so I won't give you their socials. You need to try and find them on your own."
Not that anyone would be able to find Dani because she existed as a male in real life.
Complaints rose in the chat, and Cane decided it was time to end the stream.
"Alright, this is enough for today. I should get going now. Bye~"
Just like that, the stream ended, and Cane turned to look at Dani, who was still trying to act cute.
He could not help but let out a sigh of disgust.
"One day, someone is gonna find out who you are in real life, and you will get gutted by them. Just mark my words. I won't be there to help you out then."
It was as much a warning as a prediction for what would happen in the future. But Dani just laughed his concerns off.
"Don't worry about me. I have a big mouth as well as big skills to match it. If someone ever has a problem with me, then I will be able to take care of it myself."
Dani assured before he logged off as well.
As for Cane, he decided that it was time to head toward the second Additional Skill quest…not that there was any particular skill that he wanted to get. He just needed to make the best out of his experience.
Besides, Additional Skills were always better to have than not.
He decided to make his way to the second city to save his progress and also fill up the skill slots he had forgotten about all this time.
As soon as he made it near the city, he stopped to check whether he was being followed or not. The threat of assassins always loomed over his head, and he needed to be careful with it.
Luckily for him, the coast was clear for him to move forward this time, and he made it to the academy.
The receptionist NPC had a very similar model to the one from the academy before, and she immediately asked for Cane's ID once he entered.
He handed it over to her before using the system to bypass any checks. His additional role as the 'operator' was coming in handy.
