Summer reluctantly went into the office, her expression guarded. The moment she stepped in, he started saying, "I hope you heard that our collaboration with Mr. Hill was cancelled."
Gideon leaned back in his chair, fingers steepled, his posture exuding confidence. His sharp eyes remained locked on her, waiting. He was proud of himself for having punished that guy who had dared to mess with her. And he wanted to subtly tell her that he had avenged her. There was a smug satisfaction in his eyes.
Summer thought he would scold her for giving candies to Noel, but nothing had happened like that. Instead, he was talking about something totally different. It was relieving that he didn't mention what had just happened. However, Summer looked utterly indifferent.
