When I woke up, the sun hadn't risen yet, but I did hear something or someone in the kitchen. So I got out of bed and left my bedroom. When I made it to the kitchen, Mr. Roe was there, cooking eggs and bacon for himself. I didn't want to disturb him so I was about to walk back to my room until I heard "you up sir" So I replied "Yes sir I'm up" "Why are you up this early It's barely 6:00" Well I heard something but I didn't know it was you cooking sir" I replied
You're hungry, he said. I told him, 'No, thank you.' I just wanted to go outside for a bit, so that's what I did. When I went outside I felt a nice breeze hitting me so I sat down on a chair that was next to me. Went I was on that chair looking at the nature view of the mountains I hear a loud noise coming from the right side of the house when I started walking were I hear the noise that's when I saw something that I wanted to see up close before when I started walking up there was a stable that when I saw a horse for the first time when I was look around the was a pen in front of me and in that pen was a brown and white horse walking around when I walked up to the pen the horse saw me and started walking towards me. When I saw that I was scared because I had never been around animals like this. While building up my confidence to go closer I heard "I see that you have met whiskey the American paint" "Mr Roe I didn't even hear you sir" I said then asked if I had ever seen a horse before and I told him no so he asked me if he could grab my so I let him. Then he asked me to close my eyes so I did then I felt the fur off the horse so I opened my eyes and there I was petting an animal that I thought I would never pet in my life then Mr Roe asked Do you want to ride Whiskey "De verdad que puedo montar este caballo, señor." "I'm not great with Spanish but yes you can ride whiskey if you want," he said
Later in the day he showed me how to ride a horse then he asked " I mean to ask but how old are you" I told him that I was ten and my birthday is in a couple of weeks then he asked me how it was when I was in the foster center and I told him "The foster center was a nightmare for me I got bullied just because I spoke Spanish and the care takers didn't even care about me so when Emy and Ethan adopted me it was a way to get out of that place"
After the sun went down Emy and Ethan got dinner ready and told me that they were going to tell me a surprise so I went to the table then Emy started to tell me "Tony the reason why we need you to be at the table is because we are going to live here for the rest of our lives here in New Mexico" I was stunned because I never wanted to leave this place so when I was done eating I laid on my bed then I told myself I glad I'm here the I went to sleep.
