Zeros suddenly stopped, his eyes narrowing slightly.

In front of him, beside the stream, a striped tiger was sitting on the ground, its head lowered as it gulped down water.

As if hearing Zeros's approaching footsteps, the striped tiger stopped drinking, stood on its limbs, and turned around, immediately seeing Zeros watching it.

This striped tiger was larger than an ordinary tiger. Its skin was covered with black stripes, and two sharp fangs protruded from its mouth, making it look exceptionally fierce.

Most peculiarly, his tiger eyes were a ghostly green color. The moment he saw Zeros, a fierce light surged from his eyes, and his tiger mouth opened slightly, emitting a low growling sound.

The moment Zeros saw the striped tiger, he keenly sensed the difference between it and the ordinary wild beasts he had encountered before. There was a faint magical fluctuation emanating from the tiger's body.

Clearly, this striped tiger was the very target Zeros was looking for on this trip—a mutated monster that had awakened its innate magic.

Thinking of this, a faint burning light appeared in his eyes. After searching for so long, he had finally found it.

This striped tiger had no idea what Zeros was thinking. The moment it saw Zeros, it had already defined his as 'food'.

roar!!

Suddenly letting out a roar, the striped tiger stomped its four paws and pounced towards Zeros. Its speed far exceeded that of ordinary tigers, and the sound of wind could be faintly heard in the air.

The spotted tiger was incredibly fast, and in the blink of an eye it pounced in front of Zeros, its mouth wide open, its sharp fangs seemingly gleaming with a cold light.

However, Zeros's expression remained unchanged throughout the entire process.

With a light touch of his toes, he leaped up and landed on the trunk of a tree so large that it would take two people to encircle it, looking down at the spotted tiger that had missed its target.

Missing its target, the tiger's eyes flashed even more fiercely as it glared at Zeros, who had jumped onto the tree trunk. It also leaped up, displaying astonishing jumping power, its speed no slower than before.

But when he pounced on Zeros again, Zeros's figure flashed once more, and the striped tiger's front paw slammed down, snapping the tree trunk with a crisp crack. However, Zeros was already standing on the ground again.

Immediately afterwards, the spotted tiger landed steadily on the ground.

In the time that followed, the spotted tiger continued to launch a rapid offensive, but every time it was about to touch Zeros's body, the latter would nimbly and skillfully dodge it.

This situation lasted for more than three minutes.

call!!

The spotted tiger pounced again.

Zeros stood rooted to the spot, his eyes calm as water, reflecting the movements of the spotted tiger. Moreover, what he saw wasn't just the tiger's current actions, but also its subsequent trajectory...

Future predictions!

In Zeros's eyes, every move of the spotted tiger was already in his sight before it even began. Even without relying on its swift speed, Zeros could dodge when the spotted tiger pounced and use that information to judge and deliver a fatal blow.

Zeros's constant dodging was also a test of his ability. Based on what he had sensed in the past three minutes, he was able to use his 'Eye of Time' to predict his opponent's movements in the next three to five seconds.

Don't underestimate those mere three to five seconds.

In a duel between true powerhouses, even a second can be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Moreover, his precognition, combined with his incredible speed, already makes him virtually invincible.

Now that this ability has been tested, Zeros will no longer let this beast run rampant.

bump!!

The spotted tiger's body, which was pouncing in mid-air, suddenly trembled, its fur bristled, and then it flew backward like a kite with a broken string.

Zeros stood still, his right fist outstretched, the purple gold light on his large fist slowly dissipating.

His gaze toward the striped tiger remained completely unwavering, and he showed no sign of joy at having sent the tiger flying with a single punch.

brush!!

Zeros's figure flashed suddenly, turning into a blur. The spotted tiger, who had fallen to the ground, was still in a daze, not understanding how he had suddenly been knocked away. Then, the familiar feeling came again. A fist flashing with purple gold light struck him heavily, and he bristled again, his body flying backward once more.

Now, even though the spotted tiger wasn't fully intelligent, it understood that the 'food' it saw wasn't as simple as it had imagined.

roar!!

With its tiger's mouth wide open, it let out a roar that echoed through the jungle, and then a ghostly green magical power surged from the striped tiger's body.

Zeros stopped, gazing calmly at the eerie green magic emanating from the spotted tiger, and muttered to himself, "So, they're starting to use magic!"

The already massive body of the spotted tiger suddenly swelled up, expanding even further and becoming even more imposing. The eerie green color in its tiger eyes deepened, and then, facing Zeros, it opened its mouth wide, a dark green magic circle condensing within it. All the dark green magic power on its body converged towards the magic circle in its mouth.

Despite the changes in the spotted tiger, Zeros's eyes remained utterly indifferent.

boom!

Before long, a huge ball of light condensed from the tiger's mouth with eerie green magic. With a spit from the tiger, it transformed into a beam of light that roared toward Zeros.

The beam of light magnified in Zeros's eyes, but Zeros neither dodged nor retaliated in the face of it.

In his premonition, even if he were hit by this beam of light, he would not suffer any serious injury, and he needed such an injury to verify his other idea.

The next moment, the speed of light struck Zeros, and a stinging pain shot through his body. However, Zeros only frowned slightly before relaxing, his expression remaining unchanged, as if the stinging pain had not originated from him.

However, he could ignore the pain, but the injuries caused by the beam of light were real. Because he did not mobilize any of his magic power, but simply used his body to resist, bloodstains appeared on his body, and blood flowed uncontrollably.

Zeros was naturally aware of his condition, but this was exactly what he needed.

His eyes suddenly narrowed, and his thoughts stirred the river of time within the temporal space, causing the source of time magic within the river to surge violently.

Zeros suddenly let out a low shout in his heart, "Time—"

"--countercurrent!"
