Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Trade

Evening had settled in, so he figured he needed to find a place to sleep. With that in mind, he jumped down from the building. On the ground, he saw several players wandering around—talking, yelling, bargaining. Lavesh thought to himself that people's civic sense in this world was just as terrible as it had been on Earth. Players were tossing trash everywhere. Walking past it, he kept thinking that cleanliness was important—if someone fell sick because of all this filth, there wouldn't be any doctors here.

Just then, he heard someone shouting.

A girl was standing in the street, calling out, "If anyone has a recovery potion, my teammate is injured! We'll give our swords in exchange!"

Lavesh approached her and said, "If you have monster loot or silver coins, I can give you a recovery potion."

The girl introduced herself. "My name is Avantika. We have dire wolf hide, its core, and 120 silver coins."

"Alright," Lavesh said. "Give me 100 silver coins, and I'll give you a rare-grade recovery potion."

Avantika nodded quickly. "The loot is with another teammate. If you come with me, I'll give it to you there."

"Fine," he replied. "I'll hand over the potion there, too."

She led him to their shelter apartment.

They stepped inside. The ground floor had a large hall, and beyond it stood a staircase enclosed in a worn-out cabinet-like space. Avantika said, "We're on the second floor."

Lavesh just replied, "Okay," and started climbing. On the second floor, he saw four rooms. Avantika took him into the second one.

Inside, a girl was sitting with a clear mark on her arm—monster claw, from the look of it. Her teammates had used an emergency medical kit to stop the bleeding.

Avantika spoke to her friend, "This guy is giving us a recovery potion. We need to give him a hundred silver coins, so hurry up and give it to him."

The other player, named Arpita, immediately pulled out one hundred silver coins from her storage ring and handed them to Lavesh.

Without delay, he took out two rare-grade recovery potions from his inventory and handed them to the injured girl. "When you go hunting again and get hurt," he said, "use the second potion."

With that, he turned and walked out of the apartment.

All the girls thanked him as he left.
