'Sometimes you can look at a picture or photo, and you're sure that you saw it somewhere before but just can't remember'
Draken stared blankly at an old picture of Emma on the wall..trying to remember if he'd seen her before but just couldn't.
"The food is ready !!" Emma loudly said from the kitchen just so he could hear. She'd set up the table with her favourite food that Draken had never eaten his entire life plus a glass of orange juice. "It's beef and instant noodles, try it, I know you'll like it" she said as she sat him down on one chair and seated herself on the other across his.
"I can't eat that," Draken replied, obviously disgusted.
"Just try it, dont be shy come on!" Emma said handing him a mere fork.
"Junk food! Seriously? no wonder she's so skinny and light weighted" Draken thought to himself. Not wanting to stress the issue he just tried it out.
"Ok that's enough" he said right after.
"Just one bite is all you had..."Emma said standing up and walking towards him.
"Are you sure that accident didn't affect your mental health Mr Ken?" She asked, placing her palm on his head. Checking for any signs of damage.
"That's enough. I'm not hungry and you should stop eating such unhygienic and unhealthy meals." Draken stated farther after pushing her hand away from his head.
" Unhygienic and unhealthy?You speak like some kind of doctor. Well for your information, that's all I can afford to eat. Don't forget to take the juice." She stated back at him, wanting to leave.
"I don't want juice. I only take coffee before I sleep." Draken replied.
" Coffee causes insomnia and bad nightmares, you won't sleep peacefully. Just take the juice." Emma said before storming off to the bedroom.
"Only one person ever said that to me," Draken felt like Emma was so familiar, like they'd know each other for years, but for Emma he was merely a picked up husband, a responsibility she had to shoulder, the one to support until he got better.
After taking the juice and taking his time to do a lot of nothing but staring at the plate of noodles before him, Draken entered the bedroom without even knocking.
"Excuse me? What are you doing?" Emma asked as soon as he entered.
"What does it look like?" He replied walking towards the bed
" Hey wait, wait" Emma hurriedly blocked his path.
"There's only one bed, we can't sleep together," she added.
"We're married, what's the problem and I'm injured, I cant sleep on the couch" Draken replied.
"This is a fake marriage!! " Emma tried to complain.
" Then I'll sleep on the bed." Draken said
"What about me?" Emma asked, anger evidend in her voice.
"You can sleep on the floor, bathroom, kitchen, the couch or..." Draken replied moving closer and she moved back "do you want to sleep with me," he added. Emma's legs hit the bed and she lost balance falling onto the bed but pulling Draken along with her and he landed right on top of her.
"Emma, are you trying to seduce your husband?" He asked. Staring at her pouted lips, then at her neck, she wore a light night gown that almost exposed her.
"I ..I'm not trying to do anything like that Ken" Emma replied, shivering under him.Her hands were on his broad chest and she could clearly see inside because of the two undone buttons on Draken's shirt.
'Taking a closer look at this man he's so hot and charming, I was to busy trying to escape that I didn't realize it ' Emma's thoughts were wild and her face flashed immediately.
"Are you done checking me out?" Draken asked gazing straight into her eyes. He didn't want to miss any of her reactions.
"I'm not checking you out and I'm not trying to seduce you Mr Ken ..please get off me!" she wore a pitiful look on her face. Little did she know that same face stirred the fire inside Draken.
"I'll show you mercy today...but I'm not sure about next time," He said before taking one pillow and got up from her. "I'll take the couch. Sleep tight" he crossed over to the couch and lay down, shutting his eyes immediately.
"I escaped again. ...God knows what will happen next time" Emma shocked even covered her head with the blanket. Draken saw this and a smile crept up his lips.
~~~~Later that night, Draken did not sleep. He waited for Emma to sleep soundly and then headed out. It was past midnight, thanks to Shaun, he wore his usual black suit. His men had caught the culprits of his accident and he needed answers. Unlike others he was a man who worked alone to get what he wanted ruthlessly.
" Please spare me...I didn't intend...." the brutally beaten man, currently being drowned in cold water tried to say.
"Boss, should I get rid of him?" Shaun asked, holding onto the man's head. "Break his arms and legs, make sure he's not seen anywhere in LD City" Draken coldly replied.
"You won't stop me David,never, blood for blood ..." He thought to himself.
"Erick, all the news about my accident and disappearance should be spread by tomorrow morning, but my pictures should not be released.".
