A while back ....Draken had stopped his car. It was raining heavily and the more it did, the more he was reminded of his traumatic childhood. His past memories and fears came flashing back...but when he remembered Emma, he was willing to endure it.
Without thinking twice, he got of his car, despite the heavy rain, he kept on calling her name,
Emma
His life could come later, but Emma was more important. He spotted her by the red dress he'd bought for her..... standing by the bridge, and he saved her again before anything worse could happen.
He singlehandedly rushed her to the hospital, he wanted to ensure her safety.
"Doctor, do everything you can to save her!" He said, more like commanding.If she died, everything he'd have worked for upto now would be for nothing.
He did it all for her
When she was finally taken to the ER, he also collapsed on the floor.
Both of them were hospitalized immediately.
Draken's condition was much worse than Emma's, his vitals were not responding, his heartbeat was weak....this was Erick and Shaun's fear, their boss couldn't handle his trauma and fear of the rain, it was about to cost him his life.
Was it really worth it?

Samantha's celebration had come to an end, no one expected it to rain. She searched for Draken, but he wasn't around..neither was Emma.
Something was off
Erick and Shaun weren't around either, they'd rushed to the hospital.
"Draken Hunt is so hot in person, I wonder who'll be the lucky woman that catches his eye"
Samantha heard some women whisper as she passed by looking for Draken. They didn't notice her presence, but she stopped to listen.
"Haven't you heard? He's engaged to the Dave heiress" one of them said.
"He doesn't look that interested in her...did you notice, his attention was on some other pretty girl... I didn't catch her name but she was extremely gorgeous. He even introduced himself to her, he's never done that" they continued to remark.
"What could be so special about her, was it love at first sight?"
"I wouldn't blame him, she's way more beautiful than the Dave heiress"
"She also had the attention of David Hunt, both brothers fell for her. She's one lucky woman"
The more Samantha heard,the more she became angry. It was her party,but the guests were praising Emma! If they did it now without knowing her identity... won't they just worship her once they found out she was a rich heiress as well.
Samantha stormed off back to her room. She knew Draken never liked her, he didn't like her touching him....but he was willing to let Emma touch him.
She was pissed, she threw anything in sight down on the floor and broke it into pieces.
"Emma! Emma! Emma! Why does it always have to be her??" She asked herself.
Emma lived a useless life, she had nothing while she had everything but still the Hunt brothers were interested in Emma, and not her.
What was so damn special about her?

Meanwhile at the hospital, Draken was put on oxygen, his breathing was low but steady. He was still unconscious.
Emma was the first to wake up. She wondered what had happened.
"You're finally awake! How do you feel Mrs Emma?" A nurse attending to her asked. They knew this was the owner's wife. Only Emma didn't know.
"I'm fine now, what happened to me?" She asked.
"You passed out in the rain, you had a strong fever,but it's down now...your husband was the one who brought you here....but he's in a bad shape too,you both were hospitalized" the nurse replied.
"W...what?? He passed out??" Emma knew Draken had brought her, she heard his voice last before blacking out, but she didn't expect him to have been hospitalized as well.
"Where is he?" She wanted to see him desperately.
"Take me to him right now" she said, getting out of the bed, removing the IV drips that were in her skin.
The nurse took her immediately to see Draken...he was in the ICU. Shaun and Erick were also outside waiting for him.
Emma immediately recognized their faces.
"Mrs Emma"
"Madam"
Emma didn't have time for them. She looked through the glass window and saw Draken, fighting for his life.
"Why is he like this, what happened to him?" She asked Erick and Shaun.
"Boss risked his life to save you, he's ombrophibic,but that didn't stop him from saving you" Erick replied and as soon as he did.... Emma felt shattered.
He kept on saving her over and over again, he kept on risking his life for her, she considered herself not the right woman for him. He deserved so much better.
She went in to have a good look at him before she could leave.....
She sat down on the chair close to his bed, and touched him.
"Ken...can you hear me"
"I'm sorry Ken, you're in this condition because of me" she apologized, with her eyes full of tears.
"You don't have to worry about me anymore, you can go back to your old life...the one you had without me" she took off the ring she had on her finger and placed it in his hands.
Letting him go was already hurting her.
"Please don't look for me anymore, I won't either" she finally said before she went out.
"Please take care of him for me, don't tell him I ever came to see him" she said to Erick and Shaun before she finally left.
Erick and Shaun were left in a daze, if their boss woke up and found out that his wife had left him....God knows what he would do... he'll probably lock down the entire city in order to find her.

Emma went back to her room and changed out of the hospital clothes...to the clothes they'd prepared for her.
She was going to leave without finishing her medication. The rain had stopped outside, she left through the back door and underground parking lot, the hospital staff wouldn't let her go, she was escaping.
She was good at running away so easily. She reached the road side before a blue sports car stopped in front of her...the tinted window slid down revealing someone that Emma never expected to see.
"Alex??"
She was dumbstruck.
